OOC: Sorry for the wait, you guys! Just been so busy.
On any given day, Aowyn would've been scared completely out of her pelt, every strand of hair sticking in every direction. She had never been a particular fan of meeting new wolves and with the quantity of them streaming in now, it certainly wasn't about to change any time soon. She tried hard to keep her yellow-grey eyes focused on the ground beneath her, training them on her paws as she kneaded them gently against the stone, wearing the adrenaline off so that she could feel her foot again. Assess the pain. Her fur had long since flattened, though, resting against her skin with an odd smoothness among the clumps that were there. Her breathing had become easier, very much so, but it still ached. Perhaps the running had made her breathing harder than it should have been, therefore causing extreme discomfort. Her throat still itched and burned badly, but it was minor compared to everything else, despite the occasional hack. Everyone was quite frazzled.
She'd hardly heard the male ask his questions. She had never been one to complain, never been one to make sure she was attended to first, because she was sure there were others who were far more hurt than she could've been. That, and she was slowly dropping away from everything. With the adrenaline rushing out of her system, the melatonin beginning to kick in. Her ankle was throbbing painfully, but she was getting too tired to care much. She tried to focus on the male, Scout. "Wh-What kind? Uhm..." The red femme wasn't too sure how to answer that, but she heaved herself up and set her paw down without pressure. The throbbing continued and she put a light amount of pressure down, retracting it immediately by the sharp pain that bolted up her leg. She laid back down immediately, keeping the aching paw in a delicate position. "Sh-Sharp..." She felt her speech impediment made her sound weak and rather pathetic, especially when she was actually hurt.
Aowyn felt out of place, not knowing any of the wolves, but she supposed that would be something to get past later. With the arrival of each wolf, she took their names into account, her heart aching for Isis as she collapsed upon the ground out-cold. She was no Shaman, but she didn't seem too hurt. She had felt like collapsing, too, like just letting darkness take over and stay there until nothing hurt anymore. She prayed the femme would be all right. Her ears twitched when another scent overwhelmed her olfactory sense, another smell she didn't recognize, but it wasn't recognizable to begin with. She turned her head and saw the battered maned wolf stumbling towards them. Her eyes grew painfully wide when she saw the maimed female, seemingly having been attacked by the volcano. She saw where the blood was and she wasn't so sure what to do about it, but her chest gave a horrible twinge at the female's cry for help.
Despite all protests in her muscles and in her ankle, the femme heaved herself off the ground and weaved as quickly as she could through the stones, as quick as her legs would let her. She was on overload and her ankle protested horribly to each step, but she came to the maned wolf's side anyways, lowering her muzzle to eye level as not to spook her for any reason. "Are y-you all r-right?" Clearly, that was not the case, because the femme was obviously in extreme physical agony. Tentatively, Aowyn licked the center of the stranger's forehead of offer some type of comfort, but shifted herself to crouch beside her, casting a strained glance towards Scout. She didn't want to bother him with anything, especially herself, but it was clear the female needed help. She didn't touch the battered wolf, but allowed her matted fur to keep some contact between them. "It...It'll b-be okay..." What else could she say? It wasn't exactly an awe-inspiring day.
