(warning: will most likely be a mature thread)
A slender white wolfess raced through the hills of Tiayr, her pelt a flash of light in the darkness of the night as she madly tried to escape whatever was following her. Angel had long since forgotten what had spooked her in the first place – nothing but pure terror fueled her mind now as her long legs strove to cover as much distance as possible, as if that would help her escape her imaginary demons.
If she had stopped to think, she might have realised that she was heading in the wrong direction entirely. If there was anywhere she could be safe it would be in the lands of Kamari or Acerbus, surrounded by her packmates (who, enen though most didn’t like her, would surely protect the huntress in order to protect their supply of free food). She certainly wasn’t safe out here in the loner lands, where any number of twisted and murderous wolves haunted the shadows.
Suddenly the ground in front of her disappeared underneath her paws – a sudden downward slope where she had expected flat ground. Angel’s momentum was too great from her high speed sprint; she tumbled head over heels down the steep bank, her fragile figure battered by blows from the uncaring rocks until she landed with a splash in icy cold water. The pretty she wolf’s jaws parted wide in a scream from the shock of the frigid lake, and she hurriedly dragged herself to the shore where she collapsed, whimpering in fear. She wanted desperately to get away from the cold liquid lapping at her belly, but she didn’t think she could. Her body hurt all over, especially her right front paw, which felt as though it had been twisted during her fall. So wide blue eyes fixated firmly on the dark water, watching out for the monsters she was sure were lurking under the surface, and oblivious to anything which may be coming up from behind her.
