but to that second circle of sad hell,
where ‘mid the gust, the whirlwind, and the flaw
of rain and hail-stones, lovers need not tell
their sorrows. pale were the sweet lips i saw,
pale were the lips i kiss’d, and fair the form
i floated with, about that melancholy storm.

“You’re most beautiful when you’re on the ground,” the bright-eyed male snarled down at the wolf in front of him. He wore a smile that dripped with playful venom and some primal darkness danced behind the veil of his irises, appearing as sparkles in the night. It was silent, save for their labored breaths and the touch-scratching of paw and nail against stone. The brute circled her like a hawk waiting to dive in for the kill. The Predator licked his lips, though only one thing would quench his thirst.

And oh, how the Prey was groveling. She was practically pleading with him, though she was no stranger to the sinister aura. She wanted him, but she wasn’t a pure soul, ready to be tainted. Though her body was virgin, her soul sang a song with rough edges and her teeth shone with a warlike ferocity as she presented herself.

Yet, somehow she knew, as she watched the Hunt in front of her, that the female wanted more. She wanted to be torn from the inside out so that she might put out the embers of actual feeling within. She wanted him to hurt her, make her hate him, so that she might never think on him again.

Zohartze walked towards them slowly, fascinated with the scene. The male tightened his circular walk around the Prey, and he didn’t seem to notice when Zo followed in his footsteps, dancing across from him around the smaller figure. He dwarfed her, and she could hardly bear to tear her eyes from his frame, until the creature in the center made a trance-breaking gasp, and Zohartze turned to face her.

A pit of dread instantly found its way into her stomach and forced its way up her esophagus as bile. Zohartze was looking at herself.

The small Mexican mix jolted awake, her mind burning and her body trembling. Her paws seemed to itch and beg her to move, so she granted them their desires and rose to stand with a shake of her fur. Her breath shook and she swallowed hard, stretching in an effort to relax. The smell of her own heat drenched her, and she winced. The smell would be counterproductive to her efforts to ignore her hormones and keep others off of her back—and very literally so. Washing would be the only option.

She carefully maneuvered herself through the cavernous system, nervously approaching the mouth of the tunnels, half in desperation to leave the place. She slept here on purpose—the feelings, the dreams, and the loss of control haunted her waking moments. This cave was such like the Eye of Fenris, the place she was held as something of a captive for so long, that she’d hoped it would return her to a state in which she was not so... Affected, she thought. She woke up feeling refreshed, distant, more alone. It was calming, in a nervous, panicky sort of way.

Zo could only hope that the panic would go away in time. If she could keep herself from him, it wouldn’t be a problem. Thinking about him elated her, and made her softer—she caught herself thinking of doing nice things for him, touching him gently, bringing him meals. It was involuntary, and while her mind seemed to thrive, another part of her made her body scream and ache, rejecting the feeling altogether. He made her soft, but he made her volatile. Sometimes she couldn’t remember where she was, or what she’d been doing only a moment earlier. Sometimes she wanted to snarl and kill only to bite her own tongue.

Zohartze stifled her thoughts and the small whine that threatened in her throat, and stepped out into the night air, the cool breeze feeling refreshing after the stifling atmosphere of the cave. She looked out over the land for a moment, judging the way to the falls so that she could wash away the overpowering hormonal scent that followed her.

And then she met His gaze.

[Titan]

Titan strode through his territory, his long strides devouring the distance back to his den. It had been a disappointingly uneventful day so far, and the boredom was sowing seeds of frustration and discontent within the warrior’s broad chest. It was rather unfortunate that Goliath just had to have chosen potentially the most easily defensible land on Anikira; being the island paradise that it was, Ina’mos rarely attracted unwanted visitors so there were never any trespassers for the fiercely territorial brute to hunt down and fight off the pack’s land. Perhaps he ought to travel to Vor’asa – the pure female pack which was rumoured to live on the opposite side of Tas’alea would surely cause some trouble eventually, and Titan wanted to be there when it happened. But he was expected here instead; he couldn’t simply abandon his duty of patrolling the borders, no matter how pointless and tedious it seemed. The dark grey wolf beta had made up his mind to discuss the matter with the alpha, but not before he’d had a sleep first because he doubted that a conversation with Goliath in his current darkly aggressive state would go down well.

He was just rounding the corner before the entrance to the caverns when he almost ran into some thoughtless femme heading in the opposite direction. The enormous Kenai Peninsula male halted abruptly to avoid crashing into her, an action which was immediately followed by a irritable glare directed her way before he finally recognised her. It was one of the two femmes he’d met and accepted into the pack that day at the falls. What was her name again? Oh, that’s right... “Zohartze.” Titan spoke her name by way of greeting, in a low level tone, still not particularly friendly but his expression had relaxed significantly and he no longer looked on the verge of ripping her throat out for getting in his way.

His deep blue eyes scoured her much smaller frame while he waited for her to move, lingering in places they shouldn’t as he remembered his primal attraction towards that appealing body of hers. God, she smelled delicious! Titan’s nostrils flared to take in the female’s intoxicating hormone-infused scent, and he could already sense his own hormone levels surging in response. Now, that was exactly what he needed at the moment to ease his boredom. How fortunate. If only the femme would co-operate with his desires… though he supposed if she refused it wouldn’t be much of a struggle to take her by force. “Where are you going in such a hurry, girl? Come back to my den instead. There’s plenty of room for two.” The brute’s baritone retained the same hardness as his earlier gruff statement of her name, and his cobalt optics narrowed predatorily at the subordinate, daring her to oppose her beta’s absolute power.

Zohartze never believed in God.

She knew it was because of her mother. She was a zealot, insane and completely heartbroken over her father’s death. She would recite prayer after prayer in between outbursts of hateful violence, and it was only in her sleep and when she thought the pups were asleep that Zohartze would hear the truth. Her father never loved her mother, not in the way she worshipped him. Her daughter would subconsciously put up walls and make a vow to never become so attached to anything. When her son died, the walls in her daughter’s mind became a dome, never letting the sunlight shine through.

But this Titan before her was something of heavenly proportion. He wanted her. She could smell it, and it radiated from his eyes like nuclear fallout. The Mexican mix hadn’t ever been touched, let alone been wanted like this. Her body demanded it, despite the screaming from her mind. As she took fervent steps toward him, her mouth opened and she spoke without conscious effort. “We don’t need a den.”

She was cracking, and it made her squint her eyes in discomfort and her heartbeat speed to an unnatural level. No, no, FUCKING NO! The war inside her waged and the vanguards advanced, and it was as if she could feel tooth and nail battles inside her, tearing her to pieces. Zo searched her mind frantically as her body moved closer to him, and she watched from behind her eyes as she ran her head along his neck. She felt as if her mind was on fire, burning away at her skull. As the femme racked her brain for something to become to conquer the feud, she found that couldn’t be anyone but herself. She had always feared that the wolf she would find under the surface would be weak and frail, something so terribly broken. Instead, she found some kind of strength hidden deep within to channel the emotion elsewhere.

Zohartze caught the feeling as it threatened to choke out in a sob, and instead sighed a heavy breath. She channeled the outpour into motion and let the tears turn themselves to wet sparkles of need in her eyes. The she-wolf walked behind the massive beast and under his body, rubbing the length of her back along his underside, sure to make contact with the most sensitive areas of his body. The painted female moved with a fluid grace that she never knew existed within her, eyelids fluttering as she let emotional and physical sensations take over her body completely, soaking in the touch with angelic moans.

She moved to his chin, licking the corners of his lips in between heavy, panting exhales. Zohartze wasn’t thinking of the past or of the future, but only of the present. She had no ambition, nor goal, nor broken and twisted history. She had only now, and only Him. “Take me,” she breathed out into his maw. “I’m yours.”

Titan’s smirk grew even wider as the female remarked that the pair didn’t need a den, in a delectably suggestive tone which clearly intended to encourage the brute to pursue his body’s carnal desires. It was more than he could possibly have hoped for; the male had been expecting her to timidly obey or perhaps even attempt an escape, and she had instead come back at him with the offer to save time and do it right where they stood. “Of course. Why should I hide my beautiful prize away when you deserve to be displayed out here where I can see you?” If they did not move from the entrance to the caverns, every wolf who passed through here for the next few days would be able to smell what had gone on between Titan and Zohartze, and that thought was somehow very arousing to the amorous male.

As his deep blue gaze bored into hers, he thought he sensed a mental conflict within the chocolate pools, but as this didn’t seem to be carrying over into the femme’s forward actions Titan took no more notice of it. The Kairos Beta had always been an earthly creature, thriving on the pleasures of the flesh, and as such he eagerly responded to the female’s advances, bending down to possessively encircle her head with his own as she pressed up against the dark grey fur of his neck. Tongue extended to lick her behind her ear as if she were a pup – which she almost was when comparing their sizes.

After a short time, Zohartze extracted herself from his embrace and walked behind him, then unexpectedly ducked her head under his rear end and moved up along the length of his body, her back grinding against his sensitive underbelly as she did so. It was truly miraculous how tiny she was, how she could fit so perfectly under him without having to even bend her legs. A groan rumbled from the brute’s throat at the contact of his most tender flesh against the soft tawny fur of her back and rump, complementing the girl’s own moans. No wonder Goliath preferred the petite femmes when they could fit under the giant male so neatly. In fact, if Titan had been more religiously inclined he might have believed that Zohartze had been designed solely for the purpose of being beneath him. Everything just seemed so natural.

When the young Mexican femme emerged by his head, she began licking his maw, though Titan found himself less focused on the submissive gesture than on the delightful sound of her lustful panting. The dainty femme’s undisguised desire for him had turned him on, and when she breathed into his ear to take her, he didn’t need to be told twice. Roughly grasping the scruff of her neck in his powerful jaws, Titan once again positioned her so that she stood well beneath him, this time pressing his weight down on her to hold her firmly in place as he claimed her precious treasure for himself.

The stare that was held for a moment in between the two creatures made Zohartze feel weak. And then He encircled her head almost lovingly, and licked her. Fire spread through her body, catching fire at every hair as her nerves danced like flames.

They danced themselves, for a moment—he paused when she was underneath him, and she breathed in his scent and let her head wander into his neck. With all thoughts forgotten in the smolder, she stood as he grasped her neck. His teeth hurt, but the feeling was only painful to the point of arousal. She was amazed, in part, not only by his size but also at his finesse with his body. She would have thought that with such bulk, he would move with less grace. Instead he moved like air, so effortlessly feeding the flames as they grew, giving them their needed oxygen without smother. He moved behind her, not needing to rest his weight too heavily upon her to enter her.

And he held her. And for a moment, it was beautiful. She was beautiful. She leaned back into him, her body a willing shore for his ship to come to port. As He entered her, Zohartze’s body shook with need and fulfillment, and she was glad for his hold on her, for she might have crumpled with the utter ecstacy of the feeling. His length hit what felt like a wall inside of her, and she gasped—it wasn’t quite pain but it wasn’t quite pleasure either. Her eyes opened sharply and she half-moaned, half-whimpered, and with a cautiously lustful nuzzle, signified to Titan that he had reached the end of her virgin canal.

But the pleasure was momentary. It all turned to pain. His claim on her body kept extending, and she exhaled in rough moans as he pushed deeper and deeper. She smelled blood, and her eyes stung with tears. The magic of the moment melted away, and Zohartze was left with only herself.

She was His—for this moment, they were one. She knew that she should be ecstatic, that she should be thrilled to be called a prize by such a god-like creature. That one of her obsessions had become such a reality. That she was being shown affection. But despite the fact that they were closer than two beings would ever be, Zohartze was utterly alone. She choked back a sob.

It hurt. It hurt so badly. She felt her delicate opening being torn to shreds despite her body’s attempts to remedy the situation. It wasn’t long before it became constant, oiled with blood. She could have called it numb—but it was far from it. She didn’t feel the strokes of him anymore. She just felt the pain.

Zohartze struggled to stand, now for the sake of pain rather than the pleasure of before. Black beads shrouded the corners of her eyes, and she battled to keep them open.

She’d never been hurt like this, and never felt wanted or worthless, let alone all at once. But she was his, and she asked for it. She was his.

His prize.
