Alina still hadn't met many of her pack mates. She had taken to spending most of her time walking about with no real purpose. She hadn't seen much of anyone while she wandered about from border to border. This land was so beautiful, so unlike anything that she had ever experienced in her whole life. She continued along picking up speed as she made it to the forest. She had spent far too long in the mountains lingering for nothing more than an attraction. Alina knew that she and Thor could never be anything more than acquaintances. She had wasted a day just sitting around and talking with a complete stranger for no reason other than because she could. She needed to focus on making friends within her own pack, not pining after males she could never had. Alina shook her head trying to clear the lingering thoughts of Thor. She had washed his scent away and didn't want to wallow in missing him. Her heart began to pound in her chest and her breathing picked up as she continued at a gentle lope across the forest floor. She was small in comparison to most things, but it didn't bother her like it did others. She was just beginning to get a look back into her past and she was proud of who she was. She had a similar look to her mother and that was something that she would cherish. Her memories were like picture flying through her mind painting a picture of her life. They didn't come with the feelings though. Those came in the night trying to overwhelm her while she slept. Many a night she had sat awake trying to calm the raging motions that tried to overwhelm her. Sneaking like a snake they wriggled their way into her dreams.
She didn't want to think about it any longer. She had broken her lengthy streak and had an episode when she had been in the mountains. What was worse was someone had been present to witness her most vulnerable and embarrassing moment. She pressed on moving a little quicker through the underbrush. She was small enough to be able to duck under the majority of the debris that other wolves had to jump over. She slid effortlessly past the thorns and leaves as she trudged along. She wanted to make it back to the den before it got dark, but it was still early afternoon so she had some time. She paused in her running allowing herself to rest for a few moments. She waited until her breathing and heartbeat slowed to a gentle rhythm. She enjoyed running. The feeling of her muscles straining to keep up with the pace her mind set for her. She sat down allowing her body to catch up with her ever roving mind. She was always ready to go on some new adventure or make a new friend. Her tail wagged a little at the thought of meeting someone new. Alina looked around her before settling down on the ground for a short rest. The grass was moist with the dew of the winter air and it made for a soft cushion beneath her. She couldn't remember if she had ever seen grass before her time here, but it was one of her favorite things to lay in. Especially if it was damp and cooled her fur. It was shorter fur that didn't hold much heat, but she was constantly running about. She laid her head down resting it on her legs before closing her eyes and letting the sounds of the forest envelop her.
