Two months had gone by and slowly the silver wolf was adjusting to the bitter reality that was now her life. She no longer had her brother, for she had to kill him to end his pain when a burning tree fell on his back. She had not one of her pups from her past three litters as they had, as far as she knew, all burned to death in the fire. Her pack no longer existed as it died alongside her family and because of that, she was no longer the alpha she had always been but was instead, a mere huntress. However, it was in her new pups, both biological and adopted that she found new hope. For within her fourth litter of pups was the reincarnation of her brother and it was the first of her litters to have two pups born with the crescent mark, which surely must be a good omen. She had also adopted two daughters, Tala and Kayi and, as they were the same age as her second and third litters, she found a sense of peace within them. It was only her first litter that she was missing a piece of now.
It was a warm winter day, spring clearly on it's way, and the silver feme lead her pups closer to the shore. Up until now, she had always led her pups away from the ocean, not trusting the fact that they would obey and stay out of the water. However, she had a feeling they were old enough to listen and know better now so with a watchful eye, she led them onto the golden sand. Once she was satisfied with the distance she had taken them, she looked over each one with a stern but loving look and spoke with a tone that matched her voice, "You may go near the water but if I see any of you in it, we will not venture back out here for quite a while." After she had finished speaking, she bowed playfully and barked at her pups, her tail wagging.
