History:
The origins of Ren’s parents could not be more unalike; his mother was born alongside three brothers, and from the beginning her story was not pleasant. Her father was a barbarous brute, teaching her brothers the art of abuse with Katari – along with her mother - as their target. Despite the torment that she endured, Katari remained warm and kind, even long after her mother had abandoned her. However, her spirit could not remain unbroken in the face of such cruelty, and eventually Katari grew to hate those around her, all with the exception of an imaginary brute who served as Ren’s namesake.
It was the fictitious Ren who nursed Katari’s injured soul, and it was he who convinced her to flee her life of anger and hatred. With a freedom unlike any she’d had before, Katari roamed Anikira to her hearts content, Ren always at her side. And then she met Summit.
Summit was born to subordinates within a pack who called the jungle their home, his origins humble and far gentler than Katari’s. Despite this, fate would not spare the arctic brute from her clutches, proven when first Summit’s father perished at the claws of a jaguar, and later when a plague swept through the jungle. Forced to consider the sole option that would keep him alive, Summit fled from his dying packmates with his sister in tow, but later became separated from her and settled for wandering Anikira. His travels eventually lead him to cross paths with Katari, and while their initial meeting was full of polite confusion, the two grew to care for each other as friends, and eventually – more. Their love knew no bounds, and together they coupled to create precious life. Thus Ren was born, nestled alongside one brother and two sisters, although the smallest femme did not live long. With no pack and no boundaries, Ren grew with freedom implanted firmly in his heart, and a strong affection for both siblings and parents.

Personality:
In his youth, Ren is carefree, unburdened by confinements and in love with freedom. Exploring the world will come to be one of his greatest aspirations, for he will be captivated with all things beautiful, and will have a deep appreciation for the mysteries of the universe. He will be mellow and easy-going, difficult to anger and quick to forgive. It will ultimately be this form of naivety that will lash out at him when tragedy strikes and his parents pass; he will be crippled by grief for some time, although he will attempt to remain strong for the sake of his siblings. In the beginning, his grieving will be an innocent process. Later, it will twist and fester within him until much like his mother he sees figures who are not there – apparitions of his parents, coupled with the sounds of their voices, riddled with blame and cruelty, so unlike their true personalities but spurred on by Ren’s guilt. They will appear only in his darkest times, usually when he is entirely alone and begins to brood over past events.
He will not be plagued by them always; most times his mind will be clear and the memory of them unsullied, and as he grows, his passion will flourish as well. His youthful grief will have chiseled him, taking what was once soft and somewhat reckless and reshaping Ren into a confident brute with a strong sense of right and wrong, his virtues tucked carefully away beside his heart. Many might call him “noble”; even as he grows he will never truly lose his good-natured charm, or his vigorous, masculine ways. He will enjoy sparring and will always harbor a deep brotherly-affection towards his oldest sibling, Everest.
When it comes to she-wolves, Ren could easily come to be considered promiscuous, although truly he will not wish to break hearts. His passion for beautiful and feminine things will birth a soft spot within him for femmes, and in his youth, this will make it difficult for him to remain monogamous – although certainly not impossible should he fall in love. He will care for each of the fae’s that he consorts with, and will entirely unashamed by his romantic, flirtatious tendencies.
