For those of you who don't know, NaNoWriMo is an annual novel writing project that brings together people from all over the world who want to write a novel. On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30. Split that up, and you get a daily word goal of 1,667 words! It's crazy and fun and so rewarding. It's all about writing a ton of junk so when you're done, you can sort through your mess of a novel and see all the nuggets you would have missed had you not just written the damn thing.
I've participated for three or four years and won in 2013 and 2014 by meeting my 50,000 word goal by the end of the month! This month is going to be difficult, since I am INCREDIBLY busy, but I love it too much to skip a year. Is anyone else insane enough to participate in NaNoWriMo with me?
If we have internet by then, which we better, I will most definitely participate! It's about time I rewrite Kiva's novel! And I have nothing to do but sit around the house alone all day. I'm actually extremely excited about this!
I pirouette in the dark, I see stars through a mirror, tired mechanical heart beats 'til the song disappears...Somebody shine a light, I'm frozen by the fear in me. Somebody make me feel alive and shatter me.
