It was still unbelievable, finding this sanctuary after escaping the prison that had been her former life. Sabaoth's face still flashed in her mind, the first wolf that she had encountered since escaping her master. It had been like a breath of fresh air, it had what she had unknowingly been waiting for the entirety of her life. She still couldn't get over his hulking form, but then again maybe all wolves were considerably larger than herself. She could not determine the answer as she had yet to meet any others, but she knew that part of her wanted to explore this island before taking off to Ina'mos, which would inevitably be her new home. Sabaoth had offered her a place as one of his personal consorts, she would not be alone as there was one other consort, but Odara was not afraid of having to fight for his attention. She knew that she would not have to fight for her slot- that she would get just enough time with Sabaoth as would his other female. At the moment though she did not care to think about the other consort, instead she wanted to stretch her legs and perhaps search for a bite to eat before making the swim across the vast ocean. Her auds flicked atop her head, or perhaps she should scope out the water, see just what she would be going up against. One thing that was certain was the difference between the terrain as she made her way across the rocks and downhill. Pebbles were every which way that she stepped but she did not mind, she quite liked the feel of the stones digging into her paws. It was different, something she had never experienced before as she had mostly lived her life underground.
She continued moving downhill until her paws felt sand squish beneath them. Immediately she leaped backward onto the safety of the rock filled grass. This new terrain was strange and felt weird beneath her toes, enough to make her not want to move at all. She was sure she probably looked like a fool for never encountering damp sand but it was a first for her. Reluctantly she moved forward as she began to walk, the ground crumbling beneath her paws. Soon she was only a few feet from the water and her silver eyes glanced across the expanse of the ocean. She would have to swim across there if she wanted to reach her new home. Planting her haunches on the ground she sat, watching the gulls above as they cawed and flew above the water. Her auds flicked backward as she let out a long slow sigh. She would have to do it one way or another and she surely would not show any fear about doing so. If she wanted a chance at a new life she had to prove she was strong enough to withstand it- to be Sabaoth's consort. Her heart leaped at the thought of her new master. She could not go without him, without the safety and protection that he would bring her. Her mind was set and there would be no going back, she wanted to be with him. It was while she was sitting that she first heard the sound of someone else approaching. She turned her body slightly so she could look into the direction of the sound. The light was bright enough that at first all she could see was the shape of the stranger- which was nearly as massive as Sabaoth. She could not see them however because of the sunlight and would have to wait until they got closer to make out just exactly who they were. Perhaps this is one of the children master told me about. She thought curiously to herself.
