It was dawn and Eve could feel the gentle pulling and tugging of the breeze on her fur. She had never been an early riser but today she felt the urge to get up and moving. She pulled her lids back, revealing bright green orbs that still appeared to be a bit groggy. A large yawn escaped her chasms as she shook her head before rolling over onto her back. She wiggled on the ground, scratching her back for a good five minutes before she finally rolled over to bring herself to her feet. She stood tall, much taller than an average wolf. In fact Eve was often larger then most males and females thanks to her immaculate bloodlines. She had heard that her father had been a large beast and that she looked exactly like him except for having her mother's eyes. But Eve loathed the fact that she looked like him. He had been nothing but a sperm donor to her mother and had never even seen her or her brothers- hell she was almost certain that he didn't know that she existed. Eve shook her head, she wouldn't be thinking about her past any longer. Her mother was long gone as well as her brothers. All ties that she once had to the land of Kairos, and her natal pack, were gone. She rolled her shoulders then, working the kinks out of them as she walked. She had a very easy going sway as she moved, her pace leisurely. It felt good to finally be in a place that could feel like home. Far from any sexist ideals and logic. It felt good to finally be free. Here Eve could be whatever she wanted to be, though she willingly chose the role of Crusader. She could be a gruesome fae, often times worse than any male. She had an unusual willingness to rip into the flesh of others and she took pride in being able to protect her pack properly.
But today would be a day of exploration. Eve of course had made her den far enough away from the others to provide some privacy but close enough that she could react in the blink of an eye if need be. Today however she would be going far from the dens in order to perfectly get an idea of what her new home entailed. Her paws led her until the grass faded away to scarred soil. The ground was charred and barren here and still smelled of ashes. Eve had heard rumors of a volcano erupting her once before and leaving in its wake a large crater in the earth. Her talons dug into the ground, her orbs raking across the land. Death was everywhere but Eve couldn't be entranced more. She could envision herself training here, perfecting her already sculpted muscles. She bounded forward until she stood, staring down into the crater. There were scattered bones everyone, bones of the deceased that more then likely were too deprived to survive any longer. She smirked, in the end they would all look like that. They would all be bones and then dust. It was fascinating how the world worked and Eve couldn't help but wonder how their deaths had been. Had they felt pain? Or had it been peaceful to finally be put out of your misery? Normally Eve didn't like to consider these things but soon enough she would be fighting to protect her new family members- and she would either kill or be killed. Soon she would have the stain of someone else's blood on her teeth and she couldn't help but wonder if she was truly ready. She liked to think that she was and she certainly was no coward- but she wouldn't know for a fact until she was in the heat of the moment. It was true she took delight into fighting others, and inflicting pain upon others, but she had never killed. She just hoped that when the time came she would be able to do it without any hesitation. She continued to sit, reveling in her thoughts as the sun rose higher and higher into the sky. Meanwhile birds chirped around her, soothing her soul for the meantime.
