Caurus had provided the ex-Valyn Vessel with adequate shelter for the past few days, but Tempest was, naturally, restless. Her heart yearned to explore whilst missing her birth pack sorely at the same time. How could she want to stay with her loving natal group but simultaneously see the world? She could not do that. But she could not stay cooped up in loner lands either; everything was inhabited by packs! Tempest gave a meek smile at her silly musings.
Rising to take a walk in The Shydar, the magma-eyed fae padded out of her hopefully temporary abode. Plans were made to get a drink and maybe find some food as well when tremors began to emanate from the north, vibrations rocking the deserted earth. Tempest stumbled clumsily, reminded inexplicably of when she had tripped in front of Octavia. Although the she-wolf had tried to anchor herself by digging her uneven claws into the bland soil but curiosity got the best of her. The unexplainable force took hold of her, urging her to discover this earthquake's source. She walked north.
Being already near to the coast, it did not take long for the packless canine to spot a silvery blue shape twinkling across the ocean's horizon. Closer and closer it came, violently shaking the place where Tempest stood. It was dangerous and Tempest could be condemning herself to death, but from the sheer size and strength of the strange mobile island, the wolf assumed that the entirety of Anikira could be doomed. At least Tempest would have a good view. It approached, inching ever closer, the icy atmosphere carried by the behemoth almost tangible.
Tempest's expression was unusually serene, watching the iceberg with piqued curiosity and tranquility. The inquisitive she-wolf made no attempt to escape as an earth-shattering thump wracked Caurus, instead calmly watching. She felt somehow entranced by the lands. However, as the tundra made contact with mainland Anikira, the impact pushed Tempest off of her frangible paws, causing her to fly sideways slightly. Thankfully, the ice was solid and firm, so once she had hauled herself upright, Tempest was at no risk of slipping and drowning. She gripped the new territory with an almost angry ferocity, refusing for her limbs to detach from the land again.
Awe encapsulated the loner's features as the ground continued to vibrate but only noticeably from where Tempest was standing, ever so slightly trembling somewhere beneath the ground. The femme seemed to be in a dreamy trance until the trembling stopped completely, when she snapped to her senses.
You fool! You could have killed yourself, Tempest scolded herself. You almost did kill yourself, in fact.
How Tempest had stayed mere strides away from the coast and survived was one question that the curious female would never get answered, she was sure.
