[attr="class","pltxt"]For the longest of time now Arkrael had traveled. After having met a few wolves in her time exploring the lands further north of here the she-wolf had decided it would be a good time to go some where new. Somewhere she had never been. She would miss the lands she knew the most, but there was truly nothing tying her to them either. Gentle emerald eyes searched the plains she now traveled in. She had been in them before it seemed, but not in this particular area and for a moment she wondered just how far the plains reached.
She kept her movements quick. Hoping to keep herself warm against the chill of the cold wind that swept pass her. Before too long she knew she would need to find some kind of shelter, especially once the sun settled down beneath the horizon. Winter had to be one of her most disliked seasons, if only for the fact it tended to be hard to keep super warm when you were alone. In all honesty she should be used to that by now. A snort escaped the female as she slowed her pace as a scent suddenly caught her attention. Audit's twitched and swiveled about in an attempt to listen for anything. Her nostril's flared, drinking in the scent markers that were probably not even a paw step away from her now. She knew what it was before it even registered in her thoughts just what she was about to walk into. Slowly her ears splayed out to the side of her cranium, a frown marring across her features.
A part of her wished to turn tail and leave. To get away from the lands that belonged to a pack. The idea of running into wolves that could potentially be very unkind to a loner was not something Arkrael ever wished to find herself in. She felt herself take a few paw steps backwards, as if to give in to her insecurities and run off. Stealing herself Arkrael tensed up a bit. She was so tired of running away from the unknown, refusing to give others the chance to prove that her mother's words were wrong. She held her spot for the longest of time as her ears pinned back against her head. There was an uncertainty about what she should do. Not sure if she should just continue her travel into the pack land, or if she was suppose do something else.
Arkrael doubted that she would get away with just waltzing right into their territory. Part of her felt that would be particularly rude, if not spur them into assuming she was trespassing and up to no good. Her tail flicked to and fro as she continued to ponder her options. She still had time to turn and leave. Perhaps she could just walk around their territory and continue on. She had nearly settled on that option until a strong gust of cold wind came rushing up behind her. She shivered and huffed with her annoyance at the cold before squaring her shoulders. Maybe she should call for someone?
With that in mind Arkrael tipped her head back and released her voice. The song rose gently at first, dancing through the wind as it dipped and rose beautifully. Carrying a story untold until it was soon clipped short. Arkrael shifted in her stance, glancing around as she perked her ears up. Now, she supposed, that it was time to wait.
