There comes a point in almost any wolf's life when they discover that life with a pack is far greater than life alone. However, each and every wolf is destined to discover this in their own way and for their own reasons. The reason that brought Hemlock to the edge of Tor's Marsh today was anything other than ordinary. She needed a purpose, an excuse to put her pleasures and lusts to work in a 'normal' way. She would have an excuse for killing, not that she thought she needed one. The enormous creature moved slowly, paws sinking heavily into the dirty waters of the marsh. Her immense size did a decent job at keeping large predators away, for she made it clear she was no prey animal and would not go down without a fight. Not to mention she was thrashing about in the water without a care in the world.
But she could see the waters up ahead shifting ever so slightly. These waters were no doubt the home of water moccasins, and as the rippling water turned in her direction, she stopped moving to watch it. There was no warning in her strike, for as the creature neared her, she lunged forward and sank her teeth into whatever flesh she could find. The creature was then thrown from the water onto a nearby bank, a hiss echoing around them as the wolf pursued her toy. The snake squirmed and wriggled to right itself in an attempt to find the water once more, but the female was on top of it within moments. But death was not the in the cards for the poor creature now. No, instead the wolf stepped carefully on the snake so that it's head was pinned to the ground as she grabbed the end of it's tail with her jaws.
Then she pulled, yanking the creature to it's full length and just a bit further before releasing it and chuckling softly in dark amusement as it curled back up almost instantly. This process repeated a couple of times before the sensitive flesh of the tail broke in her jaws and she lowered her head to devour the rest of the creature alive. She took her time, bite after bite as the creature slowly ceased struggling. Deciding she was no longer interested now that the animal's suffering was over, she left the half eaten carcass and turned in the direction of a strong scent nearby. Other wolves. But who would call a place such as this home? Well, who but her, anyways? She tilted her head slightly, licking her chops and sitting down slowly. A soft howl was all that she uttered then, a dainty and feminine sound compared to the enormous size of her body and slightly long fangs that poked out from beneath her top lip.
