It was time. Time for Eve to finally spread her wings. She wasn't leaving Ananke for good, no she was just looking for some freedom. She had spent almost every waking moment in her pack territory. Doing patrols, circulating between areas, talking to other members here and there when the situation absolutely called for it- but now she was done. She needed some fresh air, some breathing room. Her talk with Journey hadn't gone so well and now she was appointed beta which was all fine and dandy as long as she didn't send attitude her way. Eve respected Nimue's decision- she was the alpha after all. However Eve wasn't the "type" of wolf to be trampled over. For one she was too impeccably large for anyone to trample her and for another her personality didn't call for it. Anyone that tried would be steam rolled instantly. Eve had a tendency of rubbing others the wrong way sometimes- it was just in her nature. She had always been a blunt creature, something she had inherited from her mother, and unfortunately she was never very empathetic towards others and how they might be "feeling." She would rather cut to the chase then dance around things in order to appease others. That was probably why she had rubbed Journey the wrong way. She had poked and prodded at her a bit, as per her nature, and had ended up getting lashed at for it. Even now Eve could remember the sting of Journey's teeth going across her muzzle as she invaded her personal bubble. Eve chuckled a bit- the lesson had been learned but she wasn't intimidated in the least.
Some would peg Eve's character towards being young but that was hardly the case. She had always been good at getting under everyone else's skin. It was a talent of hers- must have been something she got from her father but she would never know. She had never met the brute to begin with. Her mother told her she looked like him but Eve could care less. The guy wasn't in her life at all so why should she care? In fact it pissed her off even more that she looked almost identical to him had it not been for her eyes. She shrugged her shoulders, her hair standing on end out of mild irritation. It was no secret that Eve wasn't the daintiest of females. In fact it might have made her a little insecure had she looked into it further. She knew that she wasn't as beautiful as Nimue, and probably wasn't as graceful either. She was still working on it- or at least trying to when she remembered. She was more so used to blood and gore, and calculating others not others calculating her. She tried to carry herself in a professional manner but it was too much hard work and she didn't have the patience for it. Either you took her the way she came or not at all. Her long tail hung between her legs as she trailed across the land. Eve wasn't the least bit worried that she might have been in another pack's territory. When she was outside of Ananke she was riding solo- she wouldn't throw her own pack under the bus. She would take all of the heat on her own. She halted for a moment then, the scent of another hitting her nasal passages. She lifted her head up, raising it to her full height. Finally her green eyes zeroed in on the stranger only it wasn't a stranger at all. Veles? She barked, taking a step forward to close the distance between them.
