In his, what Kinley was coming to think of as his, usual awkward fashion, Mal thought she was leaving him to it. When she told him differently he immediately jumped up and fell into step with her. In fact, it was the closest he had gotten to her all evening. With a small smile to herself, the feathered female tipped her head to the side to look at him discreetly. He seemed a nice young wolf, whatever his story was. Hopefully one day he wouldn't just be the remnants of the bad things that happened to him then, but of the good things he was experiencing in the present. Like that adopted sister he spoke of and the friend who wished to teach him how to play. So many felt the need to dwell upon the past when there was so much good in their lives. If they chose to see it. She allowed them to go in silence, though it was a comfortable one on her part, seeing as she wanted to focus on where they were going. Besides, it was rare when she travelled with another so she was very much used to the silence which she always found soothing rather than lonely. A lot of thinking could get done when on the move. Or on the other hand, the physical movement could block out that which one does not wish to focus on. Maybe that was why she travelled so much; to hide from the past. Yet Kinley did not feel that she was hiding at all.
With the darkness around them, had the pale fae not known where she was going then perhaps the way would have been difficult. Instead she used a mixture of scents and memory to guide them northwards. The large rock formation, laden with moss and dripping with water, served as the only noticeable sides of the Xiget. It was surrounded by water. "I hope you don't mind getting wet", she said to the grey wolf with a grin, slowing her pace as she searched for the entrance. The shadow of what lay beneath was just visible, the rock formation coming above the water somewhat. " It's underground, but it is dry and there is freshwater to drink", she told him. Stopping beside it, she turned to look at the male and winked one teal coloured eye before leaping into the air and diving for the water in a graceful ark. Her forepaws and then her face hit the spray first, but she did not lose her position. After a moment she lifted her head and ached the opposite way, swimming forwards, her slender form cutting through the water and heading for the surface. As she broke through it, she shook the water from her eyes and headed for the raised platform of the tunnel that could be travelled for a decent while though she had yet to explore it all. Shaking the water from her pelt, she waited for the male to make the leap. Hopefully he wouldn't find it too difficult.
