After her time on Miera, Kinley decided to do just as she had said to the young male she had met on the floating, mossy expance. Upon leaving the island behind, the feathered female had travelled through pack territories and intended to go east but instead took a rest in the single unclaimed area in the North. Caurus was boxed in on all sides, yet rather than making it dangerous, Kinley felt it was a perfect way station for all the wolves that wished to meet outside of their pack territories. She herself didn't have that problem, seeing as she was without a pack and travelled where she pleased so long as she angered no one. It had been a decent system so far and though the exploration wasn't tiresome, the ivory fae wondered if there was something she was missing. It wasn't very often she felt as such, everything she had ever needed was a simple journey away. Yet perhaps because of her isolation, even when she was amongst her family, she had failed to achieve something vital. As she had confessed to Malachi, she had no real concept of how to play. Her version had been to explore the land around her, to be with nature unobtrusively and without anger. Her favourite passtime had been learning from her grandmother about the plants and their uses, or likewise with her aunt and grandfather when it came to hunting. Tracking had come naturally to the fae but she took no pride in hunting. Whatever prey she killed and ate, there was nothing wasted and anything she could not finish was offered up to others.
It had been a while since she had been to Caurus and it didn't take her too long to get to the center of the territory. Her night had been spent in a hollowed tree, and old thing still void of leaves, sleeping until the warmer months were upon them. It would be too long now, until the world was woken and brought back to life. If was fascinating to watch the leaves sprout and unfurl, or the blossoms on the trees to come into beautiful fruitation only to pass by just as quickly, their pink down a soft layer upon the ground. Not yet though, everything still slept though the the heavy snow had given way to some barren patches of frozen land. As Kinley tread across The Shydar, she saw those patches everywhere, dotted in amongst the little pools that did not seem quite so frozen in the morning sun. Stopping as the pink light carressed her back, the pale female imagined how the fields would look once the warm weather arrived. The grass would hardly be visible beneath the red blossoms that would turn the fields into a sea of blood. Yet despite the grizzly visual, it was actually quite beautiful. Not now though, now it was dead and barren but it would not remain that way. Shaking the thought from her head, Kinley set of at a slow trot, her long legs carrying her easily over the ground.
