Slowly, the deep, slumbering breaths of the eased wolf came and went. It would be obvious to any who entered that the Acerbus Alpha, Exodus, was deep within a powerful sleep that would take either time or a lot of effort to awaken him from. Fortunate for everyone else, it was time that woke the resting beast. Bit by bit, Exodus’ lids arose and allowed the bright light of morning within their orbs. Quickly the brute shut his lids to cover his sensitive eyes. “Mmmm.” He groaned and pushed his forepaws beneath his chest. Once more he opened his eyes and kept them open this time. “Ahhh.” He said with pleasure as the black demon stretched his unused bones and muscles. There were a couple of pops from his bones before he was done with his exercise. “Well then.” He said his voice extra gruff from where he had not used his vocal strings in quite the while. “Seems as if I have slept all of my years combined and then some.” Exodus commented to no on in particular.
At first, it appeared as if there was no one else in the cave. Stiffening, Exodus’ silver orbs peered around the cavern, his ears perked forward listening for any sound to be heard. He was… alone… Had his pack deserted him during his long sleep? Had they grown fed up with his horrible ruling tactics that they simply got up and left? Grimacing, Exodus growled deep within his chest. At last, his eyes fell upon a white figure who had just entered the dens. She made a remark. Exodus’ brow raised, confused. He had not figured he’d see Thalia again. When she had left, he thought she was gone for good. Stepping past her to peek out of the den, Exodus watched as the swirling sands engulfed everything and turned everything into the same red sand color. “That is a prob…” Before he could finish his sentence, the winds out side seemed to have grown weary of their sweeping of the sands and calmed to a slight breeze. Sand covered just about everything… more so than it had before. Raising a brow again, Exodus grunted to himself.
“Well, Thalia, it appears just to be the two of us. Rayne seems to have… left. Abyss is still of wandering around. Taurus was supposed to be back a long time ago. Hm, I think that was all. A wonderful pack.” The alpha said bitterly as his eyes surveyed the land before him. “I could go for a good hunt…” The last was a sentence for himself. A howl off in the distance pulled his attention away from his stomach. “Ah, a lost femme.” He murmured with a frown. “You are welcome to accompany me, Thalia, if you do not wish to be alone. Or, if you wish otherwise, you may continue your journey that had been interrupted.” With that, the black alpha was trotting off to where Crise how had come from.
