[atrb=background,http://imageshack.us/a/img441/7313/noellatablem2.png] Noella was... doing better, to say the least. She finally had some food in her system and had been drinking fresh water like there was no tomorrow. Slowly but surely her strength was returning. Though she was still seeking refuge within the safety of Descai and probably would for the rest of her life (however long it may dare to be), the female was finally feeling up to wandering about. It was about time she get to know her new home. And, quite honestly, she was in need of something a little more potent than a tongue bath. Having been able to sniff out the lake, Noella took some time to bathe. The water felt much better in her fur than that awful salt water from the sea. She could feel the sediments pulling away from her, leaving her feeling lighter and a bit more free. No longer was she tethered to that near death experience she had willingly chosen. No longer did the smell of salt cling to her like death on a corpse. The bath felt good, cleansing, and it was exactly what she needed to carry on. Once clean, the tundra female had given herself a good shake and, though the movement left her feeling dizzy, she managed to keep herself upright. That was a good sign. She was recovering. The fever she'd had was finally broken and, though she still felt weak she was no longer consumed by the weight of helplessness. The sun was high, late afternoon settling in as she walked away from the Drarynough. It warmed her bones and dried her fur and, for the first time in a while, Noella decided that it felt good to be alive. All that time she'd spent being so close to death had given her a bit of hope. Maybe there were worse things out there than the lot she'd been handed? Or not... It had seemed in her ambition to explore Acerbus that she'd wandered right out of the territory. Well, almost out of the territory. She was just on the border of between Acerbus and Shyia, towering mountains looming over her. The abrupt change in scenery gave her cause to halt and, panicked, she let out a strangled whimper. This wasn't good. This wasn't right. Where was she? Something was wrong, very wrong. How could she get back to the safety of Descai? How far had she wandered from the dens? The panic seized her, quickening her heart and shortening her breath. She couldn't do this, she couldn't take it. The poor darling had worked herself into quite the fright. And, body unable to take the additional strain, she collapsed once more upon the earthen ground. This was bad, this was very bad. She couldn't catch her breath and didn't know how to get home. Noella needed help. |
