Tike had a long day of doing a lot of nothing. He had just been trudging around the area, looking at things and getting a better feel for this land that he was not permitted to leave from by his father, Vorilye. Which, he didn't mind so much. It was a hell of a lot better than being kicked out and told that he wasn't wanted. Though, that had happened to him more than once. It was a pleasant change to have his father actually want him here.
It was late in the day, the sky was turning all sorts of purples and pinks and oranges as the sun was setting. Tike jogged slowly with his head at shoulder height, too tired to hold it more proudly. He wanted to bed down for the night. He had been awake since early this morning and he was ready for some down time. He wondered if anyone else was going to be in the dens yet. Well, he would soon find out. Maybe Shayde was there or maybe his father. He prayed to Tor that he wouldn't have to see his mother and that white bastard there cuddling up. If he did, he thought that he might puke. It was disgusting. The thought of his parents' relationship with one another was a hard thing to swallow. Every child wants to know that their parents love each other dearly but, that was not the case with Tike. He hadn't heard a bad word about his father from his mother other than her story of what had happened. But, when he had heard his father's story? It was totally different. According to him, Kallik was never his mate and he never kicked her out. He said that he had given her a choice to stay as an omega but, she left anyway. Trying to mush the two stories together to get the truth was more difficult than it sounded.
When he reached the mines, he walked straight in and found a nice cozy spot to lay down. It was a little farther back and near the left wall. He curled up on the dark, warm floor with his nose facing the middle of the room. He shut his jade colored eyes and wished to go off into a blissful slumber. His breathing slowed and became deeper. His muscles relaxed and his consciousness began going in and out. He was just on the brink of sleep, ready to fall over the edge.
