The golden rays of the sun smiled down at the cove and onto everything that was on it, including the very small and petite wolf, Amaterasu. She cherished the sun, for it was her closest friend. It was her reason to live and her source of power. Without it, she would be nothing. The brown female looked lazily over a cliff and onto the vast, brilliant ocean. Perhaps this meant that her brother was well, for he was named after the god of the sea. She thought about him more than she wanted to, but she could not escape the memory of being attacked and chased away from her pack. The wounds may be gone now, but the scars still lay deep within her.
She was rather content with her life, though. At the very least she was alive, and that made everything else seem trivial. Her mouth opened slightly, as she began her daily ritual of talking to herself, “Good day, your Holiness. Indeed it is one. You have traveled a long way, it might be best to just rest for a while, your Holiness. A fine input you have there. Very well, I shall rest.” And with that her eyes began to droop, and she lay down in the comfort of herself. How curious, she was so drawn into the ocean. Even with the sun warming her fur in such a pleasurable manner, her attention was completely on the blue mass in front of her. The sun was surely more powerful than it, but right now the ocean seems rather strong as well.
The waves would crash into the land, possibly eroding it to nothing but dust where it would be carried away by the water and never to be seen again. Well, perhaps the ocean could destroy, but the sun gives life. Plants grow tall and strong to be able to reach the impossible height of the sun, using the sun’s power to try to achieve its mighty valor. The small wolf gave a contented sigh as she drifted even farther into sleep. Another blink turned into slumber as the sun goddess was claimed by sleep. No matter what, the sun will rule over the ocean. “Indeed, your Holiness.”
