A lanky red wolf drew closer to the beach, her claws scrambling over the hard coral, her coat drenched to the skin. At least The Bull hasn't woken Felan's mind chuckled. She had been swimming for hours on end, the open sea hasn't been kind to her, but at least the cold swim had washed away all the grit and grin of the ash and her bloody form. The waves had helped a little to push her towards the shore, but now it's force was getting strong, greater, shoving her towards a clump of rocks which poked their tops out of the water, only to be engulfed again when the tide came in. The force of the shove caused Felan to gasp as all the air in her lungs was compressed out as she went side first into a tall sharp edge rock. Gasping Felan scrambled at the rock with her claws, cutting her pads further until her claws found a ledge and provided a strong grip onto the rock. For the first time Felan had a chance to survey her surroundings, not far from her was the beach but still she had to swim over the corals and avoid some more rocks. Once again another wave crashed into her back, pressing her again ageist the rock. Felan desperately pulled her front legs down, making sure her grip wasn't washed away by the slippery rock.
The wave receded again, allowing her another small opportunity to see what's around her. Before she had leapt in fear back into the sea, the Up has been clear, with just small white clouds there and then. But now the clouds were a angry grey and black, pulling together to block any signs of the sun above. Also the wind had picked up, trashing the waves even harder ageist her broken body. Bracing herself another wave came and slumped ageist her, but this time it was much harder and all of Felan's hope was washed away when her grip on the rock loosened and then gone. Felan tumbled back down into the choppy waters, kicking with as much force until she broke the surface again. The water receded again and pulled her ever away from the safety of the shore, yelping, the small red wolf caught her paws in a underwater rock ledge, trapping her under the water as another wave came crashing over her head. This time, no matter how much she kicked, the rocks wouldn't let go of her paws, it was like those metal jaw traps Felan often saw buried under rotting leaves when humans wanted to catch a animal. Clever humans were, they don't adapt their body's to their environment, they adapt their environment to their body's.
Bubbles rose from Felan's mussel as she desperately clawed with her one free paw at the rock, red liquid started to flow up from her paw as the sharp edged rock budged only a little. Felan's lungs felt like they were being clawed out from the inside, like a monster was trying to crawl its way up her throat. Then it won. Felan couldn't hold her breath any longer and her body took over her mind, scrambling the thoughts of logic and wisdom she so dearly needed to hold onto, taking a deep inhale of salt water, she erupted into a spasm of coughing, but no air cleared her lungs. In the confusion of Felan's mind, her paw had slipped from the rocks grasp and she was starting to get closer to the surface. One last weak kick, Felan broke the surface splattering.
Relief washed over Felan when her paw hit solid ground, and with one last ounce of strength Felan hauled herself as far away from the water line. Collapsing to the ground, not even bracing for impact, the force of the fall knocked most of the water out of her lungs but still there was a dangerous amount that could suffocate her. Felan's breaths came in weezy coughs, getting a little more oxygen in her each time. What a time she has had here in Anikira! Lobo had talked of a sanctuary, like the Red Poppy Field before you are judged weather to go to Wolfbane, the evil one, or Feris and Tor, the wolf gods. But so far in the few eventful days she has been here, it has been a living hell, first the storm, then the rock slide, then meeting a GreatWolf, which wasn't so great, then being washed back up here. What else could go wrong.
Felan's broken body was worn and torn, her pads were cut and painful to walk on. Her broken jaw exploded with pain each time the tiniest of pressure was applied, and her muscles ached for rest. No, she had to keep moving, she needed to find a place to rest and salvage what's left of her. Pulling her weak legs under her, Felan pushed herself up, shaking like a new born fawn. Her dull toned eyes surveyed the ground around her, Nothing much but a beach and a coral behind me her mind grumbled. Remember what Lobo taught you, Ok. Find shelter, then water, then food. Easy Her mind said blankly. Arching her neck upwards, Felan saw the sky above darken, allowing no light though. Great, just want she needed, a storm.
The small red wolf walked along the beach in a drunken way, swaying off course there and then but other than that she was doing better then she thought. Keeping to the harder and smother stone path as much as possible to stop sand from getting into her paws, Felan soon found herself still on the beach, in the pouring rain and roaring wind. So much for Lobo life saving advise.
