TEXT | SPEECH| THOUGHT
Four swift, cream legs ran across a valley. They were quick and agile and they were searching for something. Generally, Jericho was hunting. But this time, Jericho was simply running for exercise. He wanted to train just in case he got into Ultoris and became a hunter. He was running with all his might, feeling the rush of the speed enter through his muscles. His heart was pounding loudly he was panting heavily. He loved the feeling of running; he felt free. As he ran, he began to think about certain things that he hadn't even considered thinking about that day--love. He ran, and began to remember her.
She was the cause of all of his scars and trust issues, yet somehow, he couldn't forget her. The nights he spent with her, the mornings to her side... made him remember how good it felt to have someone. To love someone, even if they at the end betrayed him. Just to watch her breathe and sleep made him feel complete; the rise and low of her chest, the occasional flicker of her ears, and just the thought that she was alive was enough for him. He missed that about being in love; the simple fact of being able to wake up next to the same, beautiful face each morning really left an impact on him.
He desired those days again, but his own scars didn't allow him to give in. He just played with whoever came, not minding the feelings involved. He became cold... rigid... dead inside. Yet, secretly, he knew the right girl would come along his way. Jericho kept running yet his mind was wandering, making him bump head first into a tree, falling down with his rump on the floor. He placed a paw on his forehead and petted himself trying to ease the pain. He made a low growl and began to look around to make sure that no one saw him. He lifted himself up and began running again. As he ran, he saw that he had arrived to Waters of Ongar. The stream welcomed him to take a much-needed drink, so he did. He crouched and began slurping the sweet waters and quenched his thirst. He began to look around for signs of life, and he saw no one except a few frogs across the stream. He sat down and admired the beauty of the scenery, somehow expecting company yet desiring to be alone. He licked his maw and once again got himself lost in thought...
