Zira had absolutely no idea what she was doing down here. The caverns were a barren, lonely place and rather unwelcoming. She much preferred the warm, open places. There, she could literally see the life. Down here, it was only really her, dim light, and the soft drip...drip...drip... of the damp walls. Her senses were limited here, which perhaps was the worse part. Echoes never ended, it all smelled the same, and looked the same as well. It was quite literally hell for those who truly appreciated the sun, the warmth it offered and the life in encouraged.
But, you always had to explore your options. Zira knew she wouldn't really be fond of this place, but she wanted to discovered every single land here before she passed(though she still had some years.) Her eyes did not have the same light they normally did, and though they were still a beacon something wasn't as lively as she normally was. Her meeting with Kismet was pasted in her memory. He was charming, sweet, handsome, and she adored him. He was so good to her, despite her being a stranger then.
Then there was Jericho, too. She saw him in a much more friendly way then she did Kismet, but she had admired his charming bluntness. But still, this evening it was Kismet she was missing.
Her paws became softer the deeper she went. Somewhere inside her, she was hoping to find what she soon would, and know she would. She knew it when the echos somehow became more... Abundant, louder, and deeper. Her delicate steps were hiding her anticipation as she wandered into a larger cavern. And her eyes brightened immediately at the sight. She knew it. After wandering the tunnels the river had carved out, she had found a beautiful and shallow pool of water. It immediately brought a smile to her face, her black lips pulling back with joy. Her tail began to wag now, and she began to circle the pool with a certain skip to her step. Then, she was sort of playing around it with beautiful motions. This is beautiful, Zira breathed to herself.
She took a step into the water, and when she was in the middle of the pool it was only knee deep. Her tail dipped low into the water until the tip was wet. Zira smirked, and with a swift motion jumped out of the pool and swung her tail up, so it created a small rain that casted down on her in a swooping motion. She laughed under it, suddenly joyous she had explored even what she did not like. There was always some light at the end of each tunnel, she knew. As cliche as it sounded, gods she had never thought it true.- - -ooc; whhh dunno how i feel about this one but here we goooo
