Four dark legs ran across the varied, beautiful lands of Anikira. They seemed in a hurry, but actually, the black femme wasn't in a hurry at all. She was in a pretty good mood today, even if she usually kept a calm, concentrated and determined demeanor, she was pretty content today. Her legs carried her swiftly and gracefully throughout the terrain, walking from valleys to hills, and finally to the beach, where she wanted to be for a while. It had been quite a long time since her last visit to the beach, and the last time it was with the company of her mother, Delilah. A warm smile came across her lips as she remembered her dear, beloved mother, and her heart skipped a beat out of happiness. The day was bright and sunny, and the breeze was refreshing, embracing her body as she walked to the sparkling shores of Endyt Beach. A sudden thought came by her, though, interrupting her happiness--what if another wolf came and attacked her? Sure, she was prepared for any type of combat and situation, but this thought never left her psyche, making her hide her vulnerable side to others. However, when she was alone, she felt free. She had the freedom of expressing herself however she pleased, but the thought of another wolf catching her like this and hurting her made her shudder.
Her eyes widened at the sight of the clean sand and crystalline waters dancing back and forth in the shore. Rain smiled and lowered her head as she walked towards the beach, always looking at every direction, wary and prepared for any strangers that may come jumping out on her to harm her. As she walked, the wind picked up the sand and flew it across, making Rain's eyes squint a little due to the sense of something entering her dull, grey eyes. She approached the salty waters, dipping in only her toes of her left leg, making sure the water wasn't extremely cold. It wasn't that cold, so she began walking into the water. Rain kept walking until the water reached her chest, and began to look at the water move peacefully under her. Feeling the currents pull her back and forth really had a soothing effect on her, making her feel relaxed and lazy. She sat down and began to breathe calmly, absorbing in all the beauty of the panorama. Some fish traveled in small groups here and there, making her direct her attention at them. Out of nowhere, a medium-sized fish began to swim by her. She didn't move a muscle, hoping the fish would approach her enough so she could hunt it. She began to lower her body slowly, and her head began to get closer to the water. Her ears perked up, and her eyes were locked in on her target.
The fish suddenly stopped in front of her, opening and closing its mouth and staring at nothing in particular. She slowly lifted her behind, making sure not to startle her pray. Suddenly, with all the elements of surprise by her side, she attacked the fish, making a successful kill. The fish struggled in her mouth, moving violently and gasping, but after a hard bite, it stopped moving. Rain went to the shore, and rested her body on the sand, the water still caressing her body a little as she ate. She grabbed her pray with her front paws and began eating from her kill. Bite after bite, she felt the pain from hunger calm down for a while. After finishing, she dug a hole in the sand and hid the carcass there, covering it up quickly after. A sudden crash of tiredness invaded her body due to her belly being full. After making sure she was completely alone, she laid her head on her front legs, closed her eyes, and began to drift away in peaceful slumber.
