A black figure was running away from something, or someone, even if no one was chasing her. Her surroundings, as she ran, began to shift from a beautiful sandy beach, to flower-filled grass, to a small dense forest, where she made a small stop to drink water from a small pond, and finally, the earth began to turn red in color. The grass began to disappear, and in its place, a rust land began to emerge in front of the ebony wolfess, reflecting against her grey eyes and making her sigh. This place was beautiful, and from the looks of it, she was finally, and truly, alone. Rain was running from Xion, the black, mysterious femme, and the wolfess had left her shaken and confused about her training, and about her preparation. Why was she so scared of fighting? Were her mother's teachings not enough? She had never thought of doubting herself in any given moment of her life--she was so sure of herself, that when she encountered the real problem, she did not know if she was ready. That troubled Rain, and that made her reconsider her mindset. She was thankful of Xion somehow, for waking her up and for making her less vulnerable to any others, but she was still wary of the ebony wolf. Where ever she would encounter her, she would keep her distance, because she did not trust her one bit.
Her body contrasted the red scenery, making her like a stain in the red rocks that surrounded her. She looked at the rocks, and sat down. She had heard of others trying to climb up, and succeed, leaving them with a sense of satisfaction. Suddenly, a realization hit her--satisfaction... That is what she needed right now. To feel satisfied, and to feel that she controls at least something in her life. She wanted to feel that she was capable of accomplishing something, and climbing these rocks seemed like a good idea out of the sudden. An inner voice began to speak to her, telling her that it was stupid and dangerous, but something got the best of her, and stood up and began to walk towards the rocks, gripping the surface as hard as she could with her pads and claws.
Step after step, the rocks began to get taller and bigger, giving Rain a rush of adrenaline. Her lips began to curve into a smile, and all of her past worries began to vanish as the rush of excitement entered her body, making her shake and wag her tail in bliss. She had no idea why she was doing this--usually, her mother would vote against this--but somehow, she had never experienced fun or excitement, because she was always acting as the grown up, telling her brother what or what not to do. For once, she felt happy. For once, she felt--
CRACK!
Her eyes widened and her smile disappeared; her body began to loose balance, and when she noticed that the rocks beneath her were beginning to fall apart, it was too late. Rain's body fell down with the group of rocks that she was on, and after free falling several feet down, her body landed with a loud thud. The rocks landed around her; a loud pain began to form in her back right leg, and as she was about to cry for help, everything went black.
