A deadly brew of emotions festered in Zitao's mind as she spoke, their hue changing with each new piece of information he was given. Anger, disappointment, betrayal, all directed at Anima. She would pay the price for her disobedience later. Still, the fact that she had known Xion made him oddly excited, as if two pieces of a puzzle had just been fit together. There was bored curiosity, as with any speech about ones pack, but he supposed it would be useful information to know, especially if he was to be around Anima and Xion for a while. "I can tell you now that, even if she was to be an alpha, Anima is my pet. She has fought her demons and come out on top, accepting her rightful position behind me. I too have showed her the gruesome ways in which we live by, picking at her mind until she can see through the shroud of fog that she threw over herself. She will be punished for her disobedience, and we will leave Luna in the past, where she belongs."
Despite her intricate explanation, Xion did not particularly look comfortable. In fact, she looked outright squirmy, and it made Zitao tilt his head in interest. He too could feel the hot pull of winter, promising new life on the horizon if one were to take it. Still, he had always kept his desires of that sort in check, not letting any of his precious bloodline be wasted on unworthy vermin. Whether or not Xion was having a hard time remained to be seen, but he figure that it was not an answer that he would have to wait long for. He could hear the masked desires in her voice, taunting him, testing the binds that painted his limits. That in itself was amusing, like watching a newborn explore the world, confident that they could take anything in their path.
Xion's confidence, Zitao soon learned, was nothing to be poke fun at. Whether it be false or correct in it's standing, it made her see herself as a fortress, impenetrable from the outside. What she didn't seem to recognize, at least not yet, was that Zitao didn't work by breaking down the doors with his teeth bared. No, he was more subtle than that. His being would seep through the cracks in her walls, choke the air out until the only thing that was left was him, and it would fester and brew and the walls crumbled on their own accord . He would consume her. He would enjoy every minute of it.
Her words, although speaking of arrogance, sounded weak and practiced coming out of her mouth. Her tone was flat, a trick that he himself ha often used to fool others into thinking that emotions had no grasp on your mind. He grinned, tone dripping with sweet poison as he drawled, as if bored of the normalcy of this conversation, "Well then I have to right to refuse. After all, I must started hammering away a dent in your mind. I will make you feel like exploding. I will take everything you have and ask for more, but first" he grinned evilly, not even trying to hide the torturous purpose of his words, "first I will make you wait."
