Kadar was in unfamiliar territory. He'd only been in the area for a couple of days so it was safe to say that he was extremely unfamiliar with his surroundings. With Amar gone, there was no real reason for the family of three to stay in the Oriens. The traveling had been rough on Kadar to say the least but Ayiti and his mother did their best to make it easier on him. He hated being the one to slow them down and hinder them. He wished so badly that he could see like they could. He'd be faster and not as cumbersome. He was lucky though, really. Most blind wolves don't make it to their first birthday. But Kadar had been lucky to have a family that supported him and took care of the things that he couldn't do. Kadar felt guilty for not being able to hunt and not only provide for himself but provide for his mother and sister. He knew they were very capable of doing it themselves but it would have made the young male feel better if he could help them.
Kadar's steps were slow but at a regular length. He was trying his best to figure out the area. He would count how many steps it took him to get to a new texture. This was a very large area and Kadar had to be extra careful not to lose count. If it should happen, he'd have to start all. over.
Though he was never really alone, Kadar always had this small twinge of paranoia that someone or something was watching him. That they were taking advantage of the fact that he couldn't see them. Like there was always something dangerous around. Most of the time, he pushed these thoughts to the back of his mind. He'd never been attacked before, what were the chances that it would happen now? But every so often they were a little more difficult to ignore. Especially when he had lost track of where his mother and sister had been.
