There was so much to explore everywhere!
Whenever Mama had disappeared, Saphira took it upon herself to go out in search of her parents. It was only after lots of walking and prancing and bouncing that the little one realized that she was, in fact, lost. The trees were huge, the noises were scary, and everything was so confusing. And so the little wolf threw her head back, howling out in search of her sister, her mother, her father... Really, anyone. She had to find her way back to the dens, or Daddy was going to be so mad at her! He always said not to wander out too far, and she had done just that. He was going to be so mad... Maybe it was best she just stayed out here.
Saphira snuffled around in the brush, searching for anything she could eat. Surely she could survive out here, and Daddy would never have to know. All she wanted was to find Mama, and now she was so turned around that she did not know which way was up and which way was down. But she was still in the pack's territory, so it was okay. No one was going to come get her here. Ryker was big and strong; her big brother would make sure she was kept safe. And her Daddy was always patrolling. He would always nuzzle her and her sister, whispering to them before he took off on yet another patrol. Maybe he would run into Saphira anyways. He always seemed to be there to save the day. If not, there were plenty of the others around... right?
As a stick snapped in some direction unbeknownst to the little white and gold pup, Saphira whimpered in panic. She was out here all alone, and no one was going to find her. This was not good... Not good at all! "Mama! Daddy!" she hollered out, panic taking over in one fell swoop.
