History: This young male's story is simple and bitter sweet. Hodari was birthed to Vorilye and Atriell of Descai Pack. His father, Vorilye was known for his collage of mates. Hodari has had and still has various step siblings, some passed and some still alive. One of his step brothers who is native to the pack, Ryker, was made alpha by his father just recently.
The start of it all began when Vorilye had ventured out of Descai territory, on a stroll with his thoughts perhaps. On this wander he bumped into Hodari's mother, Atriell. Vorilye became absolutely infatuated with her, head over heels in love with her beauty and intelligence. Though they went their separate ways after their conversation, fate had more in store for the two it seemed.
Low and behold, one year later, Atriell had come to Descai with and injury and was seeking refuge. Vorilye gladly allowed her in to the pack. After the previous beta, Shayde, passed on, Atriell comforted Vorilye as he mourned her death. As they grew close, Vorilye asked her to become his beta. With her acceptance, Vorilye made her his mate. Thus she became pregnant with Hodari, as well as his four siblings.
After giving birth to the pups, two of his littermates were announced still births. The other two were health females which they named Ariella and Saphira. Feeling blessed by the three pups that did survive, Atriell nursed the pups to a weaning age with a close love. Hodari was the worst of the pups to wean, as he missed the comfort of his mother's belly so. Being the baby of the litter, he decided he was the closest to his mother and that nothing would change that. But the stubborn, cream pelted pup was weaned, in time, just like his sisters.
One day, tragedy fell on the family. Atriell was announced missing from the pack, suddenly gone without warning. Hodari felt the responsibility of finding his mother. So, he set off, leaving the pack behind and setting out to the vast wilderness.
He traveled for days, which turned into weeks. He searched caverns, valleys and deserts, not having any clue to where she could have headed. Her scent wasn't traceable, long gone in the vortex of other smells, winds, and loner trails. Hodari felt the tang of defeat, after weeks of nothing.
As he headed back toward Descai territory, Hodari thought about all the loner trails he had found. He wondered what it was like to be a loner. He sort of already felt like one with his mother gone. He loved his sisters dearly, but he couldn't stand being with them. They often picked on him, not meaning anything by it of course, just for fun. But still, Hodari hated being the one to be poked at. And his father seemed to feel the same about him as Hodari did his sisters. They tolerated each other with unconditional love and bickering squabbles constantly.
With his mind made up, Hodari felt a weight fall from his shoulders as he said it out loud, looking down a mound at Descai territory, "Alone."
Personality: Hodari is terribly self aware of himself, how small he is compared to many other wolves. He is very sensitive to remarks toward his small figure and may sometimes become hostile if the comment is blunt enough. Aside from his self conciousness, the red wolf holds a proud flame to bravery and isn't afraid of anything. Death is merely a release in his mind and pain he views as merely a timed sacrifice to endure. He keeps in mind that good comes with the bad and one must be patient with themselves if to ever achieve true happiness.
Hodari is a very emotional creature. The male has many shades of expression. He has a raw temper, a snapping turtle in a pond of goldfish. This male loves to fight the best way he can, mentally. Mind games are a treat to him. If another wolf dares to tempt him, Hodari will badger them with lustful hatred. If a fight is about to break out, he's quick to foresee it. As small as he is, Hodari is fairly quick on his feet, an advantage he uses with an inflated ego. If things get too heated, he is always sure that he can slip away from angry 'bears' if needed. This notion gives his ego a negative boost that seems to always be the smirk on his face when dealing with enemies.
When in the presence of friends however, Hodari is a die hard companion. He would do all he could to help his family. Though he is completely sane, most would believe him to be a bit touched with madness when witnessing his pure bravery in the face of sure doom.
Although he is unbearably brave, Hodari is stupidly shy around females. The only females he's ever interacted with has been his mother and sisters. As everyone knows, moms and sisters are not the best practice on how to speak to other females. So, she-wolves are totally alien to him. Hodari will go out of his way to look as powerful and masculine as possible in front of females but, he always makes himself out to look silly as soon as he says the first word.
His interaction with males however is complicated. Some he will take to and be the best of friends, others he'll hate the guts out of. It depends on how he thinks they perceive him. If they acknowledge his perks and shrug off his cons, they will surely get along. If not, they have obviously just made an awful enemy to say the least.
