If there was anything that Amara had to adjust to it was the heat of the land in which she lived in. Her thick pelt made her very uncomfortable surrounded by so much warmth, and it also led her to be a bit more irritable then normal. She had only just joined the Valyn and already she knew that this was a pack that she would thoroughly dedicate herself to. It consisted of mostly females and that made things much easier for the ivory colored femme considering she couldn't stand males. They were users and majority of the time they walked around like their shit didn't stink. Amara loved to prove others wrong, it was a hobby of hers, and she loved to show that she was in fact stronger and smarter then most males. Granted she couldn't compete with the immense size of the wolves in Kairos, but it was clear where they had size they were lacking intelligence. Most brutish animals were like that and they were no exception. She smirked to herself at the thought and almost laughed aloud. Although Kairos' numbers were growing Valyn was growing as well; but Amara wasn't satisfied. They needed to prove that they were just as strong, if not stronger. Their numbers needed to climb, and in order to do that she needed some support from her fellow "sisters." Her stomach grumbled and she frowned momentarily but decided she would head to a particular area of the terrain that she hadn't been to yet - Uchai Lagoon. Amara knew that the Lagoon was nestled deep within the jungle, she just hadn't traveled that far yet to investigate it. What had lured her there was the prospect of the tropical fish deep within the water's depth; although it was a long shot she was willing to try for an easy meal. She didn't want to be distracted by an empty stomach so she picked up the pace, her strides long as she wove through the trees and leapt over roots and boulders. Talons dug into the moist ground, her body heating up the faster she ran. Although it was winter it was remarkably warm here and her thick pelt made her overheat nine out of ten times. By the time Amara was standing above the green water she was panting lightly. Slowly she picked her way down the incline, her sea foam blue eyes focused on the water. Upon closer inspection you could clearly see the algae piled against the coral reefs and the shore line. But beneath the surface she caught quick glimpses of the large fish darting around and instantly it felt as if her mouth was watering at the sight of them.
She watched them closely, moving forward just enough to dip her paws in the water. She glared down at the murky liquid, waiting for one of the foolish fish to get close enough for her to grab. The first one that got close enough was too quick for her, she was just a hair too slow as she dunked her muzzle underneath the water. Raising her muzzle back out of the liquid she shook her skull, her auds flicking backward for a moment. Amara continued this process for about three or four more times before she was able to snatch one up out of the water. The fish lurched and jumped in her mouth which made her clamp down even tighter with her jaws. Her canines dug into the fish, it's blood oozing into her mouth. Instantly she felt relief and proceeded to walk a few steps from the lagoon before lying down underneath one of the large trees. A few spider monkeys sat above her squealing to one another but she simply ignored them. She kept the fish pinned between her front paws as she tore away at it until finally it was nothing but a skeleton. Amara returned to the water to rinse off some of the blood and try to make herself presentable. When she felt like she was as prepared as she could be and lifted her muzzle up to the sky before letting out a long howl. It was not demanding but it was seeking the presence of others. She was tired of everyone assuming that Kairos was the strongest pack around, because in all reality they weren't. This was the time where they all needed to gather together and prove their worth.
