The Kairos beta was feeling restless tonight; unable to sleep, he had decided to leave his little den and head out towards the edge of the island to do a night patrol. The ex-warrior was a light sleeper at the best of times – he had never been the type to laze around when he could be using his energy to do something productive with himself – so he often found that walking was a good way of expending that excess energy in order to be able to get his night’s rest.
Titan patrolled a large portion of the island’s border and – unsurprisingly – found that no intruders had recently set foot upon the pack’s sacred land. It seemed that Kairos had cultivated quite the reputation among the citizens of Anikira, and this idea brought immeasurable satisfaction to the ambitious male. All wolves, great and small, would bow down at the paws of Titan and Goliath, and together they would dominate the continent. Already, Kairos had claimed another territory for itself, expanding its influence to the island of Tas’alea. Now, the gargantuan Kenai Peninsula male turned his gaze to the western ocean, gazing out through the darkness towards his birth place and the home of Vashti, his first real pack. Titan was much better without them now, he realised. Those weak pretenders had been decimated by the wrath of the Occasus volcano’s explosion of fiery terror, unable to hold themselves together in the disaster. Kairos would not fall to the same fate.
However, he still felt an attachment to the land due to the time he had spent there in his earlier life. Pulled by his curiosity, the darkly shaded brute stepped into the water, letting the waves lap against his huge paws for a moment before he made the decision to venture across the strait. After all, he had plenty of energy to make the journey and he was sure his muscular physique could get him safely to the other side in no time. Titan powered through the dark sea at a competitive pace, his muscles getting a good workout as he left the shores of Ina’mos and progressively closed the distance to Vor’asa.
Finally, his great bulk rose from the sea and Titan paused to thoroughly shake off the unwanted wetness from his blackened pelt. Cerulean blue eyes scoured the land in front of him, picking out the best route as he made his way up the rocky shoreline of Adeli’s Cove and onto a stretch of short yellow grass which felt much more comfortable underfoot.
