Delicate flakes of snow cascaded down from the sky, the air unbelievably crisp in comparison to the heat wave that had rushed Anikira just this past week. The Mexican she wolf was unaccustomed to the bitter climate having lived in a desert surrounding for most of her existence. Her auds lay flat against her petite skull as she maneuvered her way across the cliffs, being sure to take her time in order not to slip and fall. The ground was incredibly slick, the snow only a small blanket covering the black ice that lay beneath it. Her mind was racing over her past encounters with two separate ebony colored she wolves. The first had been Xion, an incredibly aggressive bitch who had been keen on developing her into a lethal weapon. The second was Rain, a female who wanted nothing more then to care for her. Both of the encounters left her feeling very confused and unsure with herself. Xion had encouraged her anger, she wanted to help her use that against others. Rain had tapped into her head though, and made her admit that she was wrong to be hostile all the time. She let out a snort meanwhile blinking the snow out of her eyes. At this point the little Mexican vixen had no idea of what her intentions were. Having already fed herself on an elk carcass Olive was intent on finding herself a den to wait out the rest of the snow. That was the only reason why she would ever be caught this far out on the cliffs. The wind howled in her ears as she climbed higher and higher, avoiding looking down at all costs. She didn't want to get spooked by the mere height of the cliffs and instead focused on finding a reasonable den to take shelter in. The higher she climbed the harder the snow began to fall until the conditions were bad enough that she could hardly see where she was going. Her nasal passages flared wide as she tried depending on her sense of smell more so then her sight. Her talons clicked against the stone geography, small pebbles rolling and scattering away from her with each stride she took. Another sharp gust of wind blew against her face and she halted all movements, which was a good thing because she had wandered right along the edge of the cliffs.
Quickly she scooted backwards away from the edge but suddenly she felt her hind end give way beneath her. She was nothing but a blur of fur and flailing limbs as she toppled head over heels backwards to land directly in a small cavern. She knocked her head against one of the cave walls when she finally came to a halt and for a moment she couldn't get her bearings. Finally after a couple of moments she was no longer dizzy and was able to take a glimpse around her. It was dark and the cave smelled musky, but she was alone it seemed. She moved forward, despite the fact that her head was throbbing. Olive wanted to know just where she would be staying for the next day or so and wouldn't feel comfortable unless she explored the entire cave. She moved further back until something hit her nasal passages so hard that it made her halt completely. It was another wolf for sure but it was so dark that she couldn't even see them. Her hackles rose instantly and her ears flattened, a low snarl bubbling from her throat all the while. Show yourself. She snarled meanwhile she braced herself in case the stranger should attack. She didn't know who she would be meeting but she didn't care. Regardless Olive would hold her own, especially because she didn't intend on staying out in the blizzard tonight.
