This is where I will post messages and instructions on how to do certain things. People can look here if they have a question about something. I'd like to try and keep this thread neat, so if other members have suggestions on what to add or someone has questions, PM me.
If anyone has been helped by this, could you please like this post? I would love to know whether this thread has been helpful or not.
How do I use my graphics?
Using your signature:
-Click "Profile" on the bar near the top of the page. It should be next to "Members" and "Messages".
-Once in your profile, click the button "Edit Profile".
-Then click the "Personal" tab.
-There will be a box labeled "Signature". Paste the code for your signature in this pox.
-Remember to scroll down and click the "Save Personal Settings" button.
Using your table:
-Make sure you have an Anikira page open to where you plan to post.
-Also have the page open where your table coding is stored (whether in a document on your computer or a page on Anikira).
-Copy the table code and paste it into the post box.
-For those that have written their posts else where, copy and paste the post where the example text is and get rid of the example text.
-For those that had already written their post in the box, highlight your post and then click and drag to where the example text is and then get rid of the example text.
- If everything is written the way you want it, click "Post".
Or:
You can simply set it so that your table code pops up when you go to post.
-Click "Profile" on the bar near the top of your screen.
-Then click the "Edit Profile" button.
-Then you'll click the "Settings" tab.
-Once there you will find an option where you can switch between "Preview" and "BBCode".
-Select the "BBCode" option and paste your table into the box that appears. (Not the template box that was already there)
-Make sure to save your settings at the bottom of the page.
Now when you go to post this should automatically open you to the BBCode page and your table code should already be there. (If you don't like having this all the time, you can turn it off and only turn it on when you are posting in character. The code is saved in your settings so you'll only have to turn it on, not repaste the code.)
How do I do a point transfer?
Sending points:
-Click on the name of the character you want to send points to. (If you are trying to send points to a specific RPer rather than character and you don't know who they play, you can find out here. You can simply click the character's name and it will send you to their profile)
-Once at their profile, click the "Send Transfer" button.
-There will be a bar that says "Sending Transfer. (You will also have a 45 second countdown. At the end of this bar is your wallet where you can see how many points you have.) Simply type the amount of points you want to send into the "transfer amount" box. (No more than 50 points can be sent at a time, so if you wish to send more you must send multiple transfers.)
-Click the "Send Transfer" button. The transfer will be sent to that account. (Make sure to notify the person that you sent the transfer, either by PM or in the chat box.
Accepting Points:
-In the bottom, left hand corner of your screen, there should be a little bar with three icons on it. Click the green and yellow money icon.
-Any transfers you have will appear here. Simply click on the transfer you wish to look at.
-Click the "accept transfer" button. There is a time limit to accept a transfer so don't take too long.
How do I switch between accounts?
Switching Shortcut:
There is and easy way to switch between accounts without having to log out and then back in with your other account.
-In the bottom right of your screen there is a little bar with three icons.
-Click the first icon with two little people.
-This is the page with a list of your accounts. Simply click the one you want to switch to.
How do I unlink an account from the rest of my accounts?
Unlinking an account:
-In the bottom, right hand corner of your screen, there should be a little bar with three icons on it. Click the little gear icon. This will take you to proboards.com on your account settings page.
-Once there, go to where it says "Unlink Forum Account" and click "Unlink Account".
-Under "Select Forum" choose "anikira.proboards.com".
-Under "Select Account" choose the account you wish to unlink.
-Simply give it a new password and then save.
I keep losing my posts. What do I do?
Saving your posts:
I do know there are people that write their posts straight into the post box.
-Click "Profile" on the bar near the top of your screen.
-Click the "Edit Profile" button.
-Now click the "Settings" tab.
-Right under where you can select your skin, there is an option called Enable Drafts. The setting "Saves your posts periodically during creation."
-If you have this setting turned on, the next time you are writing a post and your page crashes or you end up changing pages, your work won't be lost.
-Just simply go back to the thread you were writing the post for. When the little window pops up saying it found a draft, click "yes".
-Now click "Reply".
-The window will pop up again. Click "yes" and it will automatically paste your post into the post box and you may continue from where you left off.
I can't see things very well on this skin. Is there anything I can do?
Changing your skin:
-Click "Profile" on the navigation bar near the top of your screen.
-Click the "Edit Profile" button.
-Then click the "Settings" tab.
-There will be a box with a drop down feature labeled "Forum Theme".
-You can select a different skin and then scroll down and click "Save Account Settings".
-This applies the skin but doesn't change the page you are on, so if you don't like the new skin, you can easily scroll back up and select another.
-Keep doing this until you find one you like.
Is there a better way to find out I have a PM rather than finding out when I refresh? Can I get them even when I'm not on Anikira?
Getting PM's on your phone:
(This only works if you have a smart phone with your email's app and you can get notifications on it)
-Click "Profile" on the bar near the top of your screen.
-Click the "Edit Profile" button.
-Then click the "Notifications" tab.
-Scroll down to the buottom where there should be an option called "Personal Message".
-Click the little box selecting it. Then go to the little drop down menu and click "Instant".
-Make sure to click the button at the bottom of the page, saving your settings.
-Now Anikira will send you an email every time you get a PM. If you have your phone's notifications turned on and the volume up, you should hear every time you get an email.
