Othrys was born to Zohartze in a cave similar to the one she had been born in.
The bitch was a product of a regretted decision by her father that ended in a suicide. He was religious, and by extension, her sad excuse for a mother was as well. She prayed and prayed over the waters in the Eye of Fenris, keeping her children underground, not even naming them. The largest pup, a daughter, and her brothers learned Spanish from Pakuna, naming themselves Zohartze, Esai, and Benicio- the most beautiful words they heard her speak. All of the others were hateful and turned sour on their tongues.
Benicio died. Later, so did Esai. And so Zohartze was alone, her once tender soul turned bitter, darkness seeping in steadily until she became a stone wall at the death of her last brother. Nothing went in. Nothing went out. She stalked and obsessed, rarely speaking. But she heard the rumors.
When Zohartze arrived at Ina'mos to meet the giants who lived there, she did so out of curiosity and self-preservation. If the rumors were true, there would be conquest- and she intended to be on the winning side. Upon meeting Titan, the beta of the strong pack, her next obsession began.
Except this time, it was different. She saw him, she spoke to him, he wanted her- and so she began to break apart. Walls came down, and in a night of innocence lost, Zohartze gave herself to the massive beast. It was the beginning of the end of her affection for him, and upon hearing of his multiple litters, she became disgusted.
Though she wouldn't admit it, her blossoming love for Datura was, probably, the only thing that kept the pups alive- maybe even Zohartze, too.
Oeta was born and died before Othrys hit the ground. Ossa came next. And then came the twins, Othrys and Olympus, fighting even in the womb to be the first.
But they were born, and their story began.( CLICK HERE to see the family tree - does not include half-siblings. )
Personality:Othrys, the charmer. The forefront of this gent's personality is in his sense of humor and air of intrigue. Incredibly flirtatious, there is rarely a wolf who dislikes Othrys, and ones who try to are usually conflicted by his seemingly good nature. He is playful and teasing, and rarely passes up an opportunity for a well-placed jab, all with a winning, toothy smile and sparkling eyes. Though at the core of it, the behavior is only for his benefit as he enjoys being well-loved and sought after from females and males alike. Though laying down the charm is natural for him when interacting with either gender, he is only sexually active with females outside of the unique relationship he has with his twin brother, Olympus.
Othrys, the brilliant. Behind his inherent charm lies wit and cunning, and an innate ability to learn quickly and efficiently. He treats training as one might treat learning to become a healer- his brain moves nimbly from moment to moment, analyzing and reacting like an electrified circuit. Beyond the battlefield, his tongue is sharp and his words savvy, whether they be joking or rude.
Othrys, the narcissist. Not only is the brute large and stunning, but he is aware of it. He doesn't think he is special, he knows it. He is a highbrow at heart, though not a braggart, because he feels that he doesn't need to be- his personality gains him attention from others such that he doesn't ever need to prove himself at a social level; he reserves impressing others for fighting, as well as with a witty tongue. He can be condescending and rude to those he sees himself as high above, both literally and figuratively, an elitist in every sense of the word. He is selfish at the core, and lacks an interest in meaningful relationships outside of his twin brother, Olympus. His loyalty to Kairos is deep and true because he associates the pack with himself, not because he truly believes in its values.
Othrys, the daredevil. Despite his intelligence, he often acts before he thinks, from jumping from waterfalls to making snide comments where they don't belong. While he is respectful to those he is required to be respectful towards, he will often dance on the line of appropriate and inappropriate. While some wolves might find him charming, he has great potential to piss important leaders off, especially a Judge figure.
Othrys, the fighter. A highly effective and skilled fighter on his own, though when he is paired with his twin, the brothers work as a well-oiled war machine as an incredibly lethal force. Othrys loves the thrill of sparring and takes small injuries as fuel to the fire, all the time with a smile across his maw. The two move in sync with one another, an innate understanding of the other's actions engrained in their nervous systems.
Othrys, the lover. An incredibly potent narcissist, it is natural that the only other being Othrys is capable of truly loving is his brother, a mirror image of himself in more ways than physicality. As the two grow, they will realize their love for one another goes deeper than siblingship, though their romance and sexual relationship will always be kept a secret. The only one who will know of their true nature is their beloved sister, Ossa, whom Othrys would protect with tooth and claw. He loves her, in a way, though it is purely platonic (non-romantic) and mostly only because she shares his superior genetic material.
Othrys, the broken. With an animosity towards his father instilled in him from his youth, his mother will inadvertently lay the paving stones towards mental instability and unseen heartbreak. Instead of driving him away from his father, Zohartze's words mixed with the Kairos mentality will do just the opposite. While his brother is more deeply driven by needing his father's affection and approval, Othrys is more deeply concerned with himself. As a narcissist through and through, he craves attention, and needs a supply of it to remain healthy and stable. Without it, he is prone to episodes of narcissistic rage. This is, at the core, the foundation for he and Olympus' romance, driven by a constant need for affirmation of greatness. The beast would never know of his brokenness, and only one would ever come to recognize and understand it- his sister, Ossa. He is incredibly vulnerable to criticism, immediately turning to Olympus for comfort and admiration. Without his brother, Othrys is likely to crumble.
Othrys, the whole. Never aware of his unconscious mind, Othrys' existence is one of humor, flirtation, narcissism, and overall just being a big gorgeous asshole.
