History:
Fury was born into a large family of oddly black colored Arctic wolves on a tiny island off the coast of Africa known as Gantotas. His father was the Alpha of the dominant pack on the island and lead a strong army of wolves in order to defend themselves against the rebel pack that resided on the opposite coast. Fury, the Alpha's first born son, was destined to the throne and therefore treated with great respect. He grew up in a tense but orderly atmosphere where everyone had a specific role to get things done.
When he came of age, Fury was positioned as a general who was in charge of a single troop of warriors and began taking daily supplements of a steroid-like herb that was native only to Gantotas. The plants gave strength and youthfulness to the wolves there so that they could be more useful as they approached older ages. As a general, Fury was expected to train his troop in the specific strategies put in place by his father. However, he did not agree with these tactics and began teaching his own strategies instead which involved more attention to each specific warrior's abilities and skills in order to utilize everyone in the best way possible. Most of the wolves in his troop were older than he was, and did not like taking orders - especially unauthorized orders - from him at all.
One wolf in particular hated Fury and his independent way of thinking and decided to bring his actions to the attention of the Alpha. He demanded that Fury be exiled from the island since that is what a regular general (meaning not the Alpha's own son) would be forced to suffer for the same crime. The Alpha was hesitant, but the angry brute did have a point. He had to be fair and un-biased when deciding punishments for unruly followers. So, he exiled his only son and heir to the throne with a solemn and heavy heart. He did, though, point him in the direction of the legendary continent called Anikira so that he at least had some chance at survival.
Fury did not necessarily feel betrayed by his father; he had done what any good Alpha would do. But, he did feel that he could lead an even better pack with many different rules and strategies, so when he washed up on Anikira's shores, he did just that. Specifically, when he came across Aleru, a place just as unique and mysterious as his own ideas, and met Captain (who would end up being the pack's Beta), he founded Ultoris. Ultoris was a pack that valued unique talents and abilities of wolves from various backgrounds, and utilized all of these abilities in the best way possible to thrive.
He reigned as Alpha for about a year, despite his constant back pain and dulling senses due to the absence of the steroids his body was used to having on a daily basis. At some point, though, it all became to much for him. The symptoms only got worse, and soon he found that he was having hallucinations, chronic pain throughout his entire body, and severe insomnia. All of this was driving the aging brute insane, but he kept it well hidden from his pack for some time. Eventually, he realized that he couldn't stay here. He could barely funtion physically, and the pack deserved much more than he could offer right now. He fled.
For a few years, the brute lived miserably while traveling as a loner on the continent and avoiding contact with pretty much anyone. Sometimes, though, he would run into a psychotic loner such as the one who tried to scratch his left eye out, giving him the ugly new scars he has today. He also did hear from word of mouth about Severus taking over as Ultoris alpha, and he was content with the pack being in the safety of this wolf's paws for a while. Eventually, his body started to finally stabilize with the absence of the herbs he used to ingest, and he thought it would be time to make his return. He was eight years old now and approaching the end of his life in terms of the average lifespan for his species, so he hoped to at least produce an heir that could live on after him when he rejoined his beloved Ultoris.
Personality:
Fury is a tough guy to get to know at first. He is more often than not in a serious mood, with little room for fun and games. He likes to get down to business right away without wasting any time with any of the "fluffy" stuff. He's a natural born leader, so these traits are usually useful to him. He needs to remain strong and unbiased in times of strife in order to be a leader that other wolves can look up to and respect.
Respect is also one of Fury's core values. It is a must from any wolf ranked below him, and as long as he receives respect he will return it as well. He also values teamwork because it is an essential concept needed in order to make a unique pack such as Ultoris function. He believes that every member must be accepting of each other's differences, and they need to trust each other to an extent where all of the different personalities and talents can gel together in order to form an efficient pack unit.
Fury also has roots connecting to family life but not in the same way as most. He believes that family is important in order to form strong bonds from the beginning of life, but he also thinks that these bonds are allowed to be broken if it is in the best interest of the family or pack as a whole. He strongly supports the idea of continuing the lineage of a family in high power or of good genetics, but he is against bias related to family or "stretching of the rules" for anyone in particular. Everything should be equal and fair to all regardless of genetics or other unimportant factors.
Beneath his tough exterior, though, there is more to Fury than what meets the eye. He does have feelings, emotions, and even weaknesses, but he chooses not to reveal these to the average wolf because that is not how he can live the most efficient lifestyle possible. If he were to give into these emotions or weaknesses that exist inside of him, life would be much too complicated and made way too difficult than it needs to be.
