Morning. It came much too quickly for the young male wolf that paced back and forth in the caves on the edge of the Shyla. He had spent the night unable to sleep, wandering about his father's territory and wondering how they would survive with so many new offspring and so little space to grow. But the island had answered his questions in the form of a new territory, one that stretched far north of them and was made up of land perfect for Airila's wolves. They were accustomed to the colder weather of the north, and silently Arche thanked his lineage for his thick coat as he forced himself out of the caves and in the direction of the icy landscape. There was a purpose to his movements, for though he had never explored this new land - Cryothia, they had been calling it - he knew that it would make a better, larger home for them all. But he knew he could not go alone. No, he would need others at his side, loyal, strong members of Airila that would have his back no matter what they might encounter.
Hell, he and Rikez had slain a cougar together, if there was anything even remotely similar up north, it was nothing to be feared. In fact, their ability to claim the icy tundra to the north would only prove to add more hope to their future. Their once small and humble family had grown exponentially over the breeding season, with several litters of pups on the way and hardly any space for them to grow. Decided on his task, the male wolf lifted his nose to the sky, calling out to his brothers and family for aid in this new endeavor. He was heading towards the tundra, and he hoped they would follow. The journey to the new lands was not exactly a long one, but it gave him plenty of time to consider how he would have to go about claiming their new home. By the time his paws hit ice, his head was held high and his tail waved behind him in a strong confidence. This was home, he could already feel it. But he would not call out to claim the lands yet. No, he would wait until his brothers joined him, brothers of blood and brothers of bond. They would join him and they would all call out together to claim the lands of Cryothia for Airila.
Perhaps they would run into problems from lone wolves or other creatures that might have come to call this place home, but so far, it was easy to tell that it was unclaimed by any other pack. Thankfully Kairos's reach did not stretch this far, and as long as they avoided conquesting territory, Arche hoped that they would not run into any trouble from the other groups of wolves that shared the island of Anikira. For now he would explore, get to know their soon-to-be home and wait for his family to join him to claim it. He had no right to claim this land as his own, for he was not the soul of Airila. They were a group, a unified and loving pack filled with wolves - and other species - that worked together and made each other stronger. This was a job for not just their temporary alpha, but for all of them. He would not take that away from them, nor did he want to. His large, grey form would be easy to spot against the icy landscape, therefore he made little effort to go out of his way and make himself visible. They would find him, if not by sight, then by his scent.

Notes: Once they all meet up they can officially claim Cryothia! ^.^ If anyone else would like to throw their character in here, let me know and I'll add tags. Anyone from Airila is welcome to join in!
