[attr="class","pltxt"]Aisling had spent a little while on the island now and had finally had a chance to run into one of the large creatures that were similar to her. He had almost been larger than those strange two-legged giants she had grown up around. And while it had not been the most entirely pleasant encounter, she was curious for more. They could not all be the same, and Aisling wondered just how different some might be.
She darted all over the landscape, trying to keep to covered areas or dart between rock piles as she traveled from the newly formed lava land up the mountain that had caused its formation. She did not get very far before her small body and feet were beginning to tire. It was not running she minded, but she had never been exposed to slopes such as this, and the rock was beginning to tear at the pads of her feet.
Still wandering around the base of the mountain, arguing with herself between her curiosity and her fragility, she once again discovered the scent of another creature – wolf, as she had learned. Immediately her ears perked and her sore feet were forgotten as she ran off in that direction. Perhaps it was not just curiosity that drove her. Perhaps she had also grown a bit lonely lately. Were there any that were closer to her size? Any that were more like she and her family?
As she caught up to the wolf, she came to a sudden stop, her frame absorbing the shock of the momentum of her tiny body easily but stirring the ground near her. Hoping she had not yet been spotted, she crept forward. She wanted to approach this wolf on her own terms and not be discovered. She was small and felt like she needed the upper hand in at least one area to have a chance on this island that seemed dominated by wolves.
Soon she was directly behind the wolf, careful not to make a sound. She stretched her neck out to get her nose as close as possible to the wolf’s lower leg, just wanting to sniff it to figure out where it had been, but she accidentally moved too quickly and touched her nose to the fur of the grey wolf. Surprised, her already large eyes opened wider and she squeaked a greeting not knowing what else to say, “Hi” she said in a mixture of confidence and embarrassment. Every tiny muscle of hers was tensed, ready to run just in case something went awry.

Notes: eep! Still trying to stretch her legs and get a feel for her. I just created her and I’m still figuring her out. Bear with me, please. =)
