Changes have become too severe in Anikira, and the wolves have been temporarily relocated to the Anikiran Southern Isles. Things have grown dire and unlivable on the mainland; it was time for outside intervention. Please be sure to review the full update on the staff board for more information!
The current season is fall in the Southern Isles. Due to their proximity to the equator, the region is still warm. There is currently no breeding and no birthing amongst the wolves
Here they were, just as he promised to Gailleann. They were here so Malachi could introduce Saphira and Gailleann hopefully all would go well. He wasn't sure why he was nervous but he was. They would surely get along, they were both bubbly and kind hearted, yet he couldn't help but feel like he would somehow wreck this. maybe he should have just showed the fie touched girl the way and let her find Saphira on her own. it would probably be less awkward, right? Or..it would be worse, since Saphira would have no idea why they were meeting and with all the changes he knew she was going through, it would be very unkind of him to do this without being present to smooth things over.
Another deep breath, another step forward. He wished they got along. He had to be positive. Almost barking in ridicule of himself for thinking he could ever be the positive one, Malachi let out a long breath.
He had been here once before but still wasn't used to the suffocating scents mingling in the air. but at least he had yet to feel the fingers of a panic attack clench his chest, so far an amazing accomplishment.
Deciding that dragging Gailleann through the whole of the pack lands would probably be more stressful than anything, he lifted his head into the air and let out a deep, rumbling howl that he knew Saphira would recognize if she was within hearing distance. Hopefully, she was nearby.
Even in the dying echoes of his song, he continued to walk although at a slower pace. Looking over his shoulder to see Gailleanns reaction to this place, his stormy blue eyes looked hard to gauge her expression. "What do you think?" A soft rumbling sound was his attempt to be comforting, who knew what it really sounded like.
Saphira’s heart was heavy with everything that had just happened. It seemed like since the appearance of Valeria, her entire world had decided to stand itself on its head. And just when she felt like she was regaining her footing, it happened again. Could things not slow down and stop for a while?
She caught herself thinking about her father again and shook her head vigorously as if trying to rid the thoughts from her head, frustrated with herself for constantly letting her thoughts go back to that place. His passing had not been sudden or unexpected. She had known it would occur. It still hurt. She still frequently found herself lost in her thoughts and memories, feeling nothing but sadness, noticing nothing around her… Perhaps it would take her a while to recover and become her old self again.
The she-wolf breathed in deeply, pulling herself back to the present. She looked around as if she was seeing everything for the first time and then closed her eyes to breathe in the scents around her. The scent of grass, dirt, prairie dogs, Malachi, pronghorns, and … Malachi? Her eyes snapped open and she looked around eagerly, expecting to see him appear at any moment. What was he doing here? It seemed he came to visit her in Kamari all the time now, not that she minded at all.
“Malachi?” she barked, calling him, hoping he was actually here and would respond and not that it was her imagination. It was then that his familiar howl reached her ears. He was here! She ran towards the sound, tail wagging, tongue flapping as it hung from her maw, and barking in greeting, letting him know that she had heard and was on her way.
As she approached, however, Saphira saw another wolf with him — a beautiful she-wolf with a bright red coat. Who was she? What was she doing here? How did she know Malachi? Last Saphira had heard, she was practically his only friend. And although she did not want to, Saphira could feel just the slightest of twinge of jealousy and curiosity toward this fae. She slowed her step and approached carefully, waiting to see how this wolf would respond to her. Then with all the friendliness she could muster, Saphira smiled and politely said, “Hello. I don’t think we’ve met before? I’m Saphira.” Then she turned her gaze to Malachi, wordlessly asking him what was up.
A half a step behind Malachi, Gailleann trotted forward, fire kissed auds twisted back and forth while the pale stormy gaze shifted all around. Even that blackened tipped muzzle quieted taking in the new scents that assaulted her senses. When that gaze shifted to catch sight of Mal she did a double take, despite his stoic expression that rarely seemed to change she knew something was up, so she'd ease up against him shoving him gently with her shoulder offering a bright smile. "Lighten up, Malachi, everything will be alright. You'll see."
Her poor brother, always a glass half empty type. With that smile remaining on her muzzle she listened while his howl echoed across the land, and matched his pace precisely. Even as he glanced her way and spoke she would can't her head with a delightful smirk. "It a beautiful land, though strange in its vast emptiness, this is where Saphira lives?" Although he didn't have to answer that last question as a bark of excitement reached across the terrain to greet their ears. Even as a snowy white wolfess appeared in the distance swiftly drawing closer until it was obvious she'd caught sight of Leann. The gold across her face drew ones eye to the others.. She's absolutely stunning, it's no wonder how she caught my brother's eye. I wonder if she'll be as friendly as I hope? Well there is only one way to find out...
It was very apparent the caution that had dampen the joy on the snowy ones visage, Leann stepped forward past Malachi towards the female, tail waving behind in a barely contained happy wag. "Saphira! It is truly a pleasure to finally meet you, although Malachi isn't one for in depth explanations as I am sure you know, it is obvious that you mean quite a bit to my brother just from the way he speaks your name." Slanting a quick smirk at the large male before turning her attention back to Saphira. "I am Gailleann, adopted sister to the silent brute over there. Please call me Leann if you wish."
Leann was very much aware of the fact that this was the first time she announced the fact that she decided Malachi was to be her brother, so that gray gaze, dancing with mirth, focused upon him and his reaction, even as she kept Saphira within the scope of her attention. There were several reasons why she chose to announce herself in such a way now, even though she'd never actually spoken to Mal about her thoughts. The main reason was because she would not allow Saphira to think there was something more than what there actually was between herself and the larger male. Despite her encouragement, Malachi couldn't calm his nerves. This was a big day.
His face lightened up when he saw the golden splashed female bound towards him and Gailleann however he caught an odd gleam to Saphira's mismatched eyes. Was she upset that he brought a stranger? He tilted his head at her even as she welcomed Gailleann then she met his gaze. He forced all emotion from his face, was this a bad idea?
His perky companion however, bounded forward and introduced herself before he even gathered his thoughts to move the conversation forward. Then he couldn't help himself. His throat closed when he heard the word 'brother' escape her throat. He threw a bewildered look at her but all he gathered from the fiery girl was a collected energy. She was confident in her words even happy about it.
What would Saphira think of that? Would she think he hid someone from her, even lied? Coughing to try and clear the feeling that he swallowed a birds nest from his throat, Malachi tried to gather himself and offer an explanation but he had none.
Then Gailleann cleared the matter a fraction by saying that she was adopted. A dawning of the idea formed in his head, they may have been rather sibling like. He met and cared for her however distantly and even taught her how to fight. She in turn tried to buoy up his spirits and fed him when he was too tired to hunt. Having no great experience with actual family, even his blood siblings were distant from him while they were alive. Maybe he could start over with her, she even had Adeline's coloring.
"Its a new development." He said simply, not really fully adjusted to it yet since it was brought to his attention seconds ago. After the shock of being called her brother had ebbed he then realized she spoke glowingly of how he talked of Saphira. A new reason to be embarrassed, he lowered his head trying to fight the heat that rose to his cheeks. Ah! the torture of having a sister was becoming clear. But he couldnt deny it, he had great affection for the Princess of Valyn. He just never said it directly.
Brother? The red wolf referred to him as a brother? Well, an adopted brother. But had Saphira not just seen him recently? He had not mentioned anything about this. Was it that recent of a development? That would seem odd to Saphira. She had taken a liking to the silver wolf the first time she met him, but she would not have referred to him as a brother. Of course, now the thought surfaced that perhaps she had not thought of him as a brother because she had subconsciously wanted to think of him another way in relation to her.
The white wolf was a little confused by the obvious outgoing and bubbly nature of the red wolf that spoke to her now. She seemed to know exactly who Saphira was, and yet, Saphira had not a clue who she was. Slightly flustered and unsure how to respond, Saphira answered, “It’s good to finally meet you, as well? Well, not 'finally.' I mean, yes? I don’t know. I mean, I was not expecting to? Not that it’s a bad thing!” What exactly was she trying to say?
Saphira glanced at Malachi, looking for a bit of help and trying to gauge what he was thinking. The only explanation for showing up in Valyn pack territory with another female was that she was joining? Of course, that alone did not explain Malachi’s presence.
Malachi had never been one for many words, but the fact that he did not even attempt to explain anything to Saphira spoke volumes. His lack of explanation or even a greeting combined with his awkward stance and facial expression as if unsure what was going on and waiting on her reaction told her Gailleann’s statement had been a surprise to him, as well. A new development? How new? What exactly was going on?
“So.. what are you doing here?” she finally spoke to the male, hoping that his words would help explain and smooth over her awkwardness.
Words: 334 Muse: good Tags: Gailleann , Malachi Notes: So many question marks. The poor girl is so confused.
Gailleann lowered her rump to the earth, poised with a delicate grace with a happy smile dancing across her muzzle. By appearances she was a perfect lady, that cranium lifted as she watched the pair. Amusement swirled in those clear depths of stormy clouds, those eyes belied her poise, filled with a spirit as lively as the flame of her fire kissed pelt. Unable to help herself she enjoyed the confusion she wrought. It was not a negative thing, or even evil, at least she didn't think so. If there was a chance that her claiming Malachi was her brother would have caused him harm she would have been the first to vanish. "I am certain this comes as a surprise, given the expression in your eyes. And my apologies Malachi, I could not resist the chance to tease you." Although she didn't look sorry at all, it wasn't often she managed to get the upper paw on him.
"Several moons ago Malachi found me washed up on the beach, instead of moving along he brought me food. Then he taught me how to defend myself properly. In that time I came to think of him as family." Her laughing, delighted eyes rested on the snowy female as she explained. "A few days ago he found me fishing south of here, taking a break from my own search. I returned the favor he once bestowed upon me, one thing led to another and here I am finally getting a chance to meet the wolfess who can make my brother stumble over himself in the most charmingly amusing way."
The warm bright chuckle rose from her chest as she mock whispered to Saphira. "He didn't know I adopted him either, but you have to admit, that was a truly priceless expression he had for a moment there before he returned to the gruff stoic mask he loves so well."
Gailleann knew she was a bit much at first for some, most of the time she kept a tight rein on her playful, joyful side. But this was one of those few cases where the temptation had been beyond her ability to resist. It never crossed her mind that Saphira wouldn't like her, after all Malachi believed they could be friends, and she had absolute faith in the big awkward brute. Words: 410 Tags:Malachi / Saphira Notes: Bad Leann...teas'n poor Mal Muse: Awesome-sauce!!
He could see the confusion in her face but wasnt sure what he should do. There was so much he had kept from her about his past he didn't even think twice about not telling her about a female he had met and took care of, but the expressions he was getting from her now told him that he should work harder on being more open. He always thought if he kept his secrets as secrets it would protect but now it was just causing chaos, however silently.
But no matter how many times he opened his mouth to say something nothing came out. How should he start? Thankfully, Gailleann started to explain her side of the story. That should help right?
Nope! Heat rose to his face when she mentioned the manner in which he spoke of Saphira. Apparently he wasn't as mysterious as he thought he was. He never breathed a word that he had...affections for her but his newly entitled sister seemed to have read right through his defenses and figured it out. Surely another shock to the gold touched girl. Would she be repulsed that he thought of her more than a friend?
Avoiding that subject for now, Malachi spoke directly in answer to the single question posed to him. "I merely thought you two should meet. You share character similarities and..I know you like to meet new wolves....I just thought...." The sentence circled in his head. He had wanted to see her again and Gailleann's interest to meet her seemed a good opportunity to make the trip.
But he couldn't bring himself to say he missed her. That would be so forward of him and frankly he was timid to know what her response would be. They were friends but he was thinking of it more than that and he didn't want to seem pushy so he had trapped himself.
Looking at the pair of females, one had adopted him and one he cared for in a completely different way, Malachi's mask cracked ever so slightly. For having promised to shut himself off to emotion he had two who managed to bypass his guard and become special to him. He still had secrets, so many of them but that was another story altogether.
The smile offered by Gailleann offered hope although it was clear she was enjoying the mess he was right now. She meant no harm, he knew that but he had pictured this going differently. She was pulling out his emotions and forcing him to show them..well almost. Maybe this would be a good thing.
It was slightly unnerving to Saphira how familiar Gailleann seemed to be with her and spoke to her as if they were already best friends. She probably did not have anything against this wolf, and she always loved making friends. It surprised her that she was reacting the way she was.
What is wrong with you? she chided herself. This was the kind of opportunity she lived for. Making friends was actually what she always claimed she loved doing best. Deciding that would have to be enough for her, she followed Gailleann’s lead in sitting down to assume a more relaxed posture and listened to her carefully, smiling and even laughing a bit where appropriate. Saphira just felt at a disadvantage having had no knowledge of the red wolf before her approaching and treating her like a close friend. Surely that feeling would pass and they could be friends, especially since they had a mutual friend. Saphira did not know anyone else that knew Malachi or even knew of him with whom she could speak. Yes, this would be a good thing for her.
But then there was also the matter of what Gailleann said, not just how she said it. “He stumbles over himself?” Because of me? she added in her thoughts. A slow smile spread across her face. Somehow she found she really liked this. “But I don’t think he’s ever gruff or stoic.” If anything, he had always seemed lonely and depressed to her, not stoic and certainly not gruff. But she was not about to say that to anyone else. She was not sure how well Malachi knew this wolf, and even if he did know her well, most did not like being spoken of that way.
Saphira turned to look at Malachi to find him flustered and struggling now more than before to get a word out. Saphira could not help but think it was somehow endearing. Wanting to reassure him, she stood up and walked over to him, touching her forehead to his shoulder. “You were right. I do like to meet knew wolves. It’s ok.” She turned back to look at him and smiled reassuringly at him. “It’s ok,” she repeated.
Then turning back to Gailleann, Saphira asked, “So why did you actually come to Kamari? Surely not just to meet me.” Any apprehension she had towards this female was forgotten after watching Malachi seem so flustered and uncomfortable. She would do anything she could to help ease him into the situation, no matter how uncomfortable he found it.

"Of course he is neither gruff, nor stoic. It's just his mask, he hides behind it more often then not. In truth he is a kind hearted awkward giant." The pride in her voice was evident as she spoke of him, as plain as the day was long. Leann didn't comment about the fact that she was tinier then either of the wolves whose presence she was currently in. The completely relaxed and carefree demeanor she held was one that rarely slipped free from her usual sunny ladylike cloak. "And since he won't say it aloud, I'll say it for him. Mal missed you Saphira, so when he suggested we meet there was no way I would have told him no." She stepped up to the opposite side on Mal that Saphira was on and reached up to tug on his ear playfully whispering in the same breath for his ears only. "You need to be more honest and upfront with your feelings, have faith brother.."
She backed away with a delightful smile once more taking a seat a few feet from the pair. There my work is done, it's up to them now, how they will proceed. Came the silent inward thought. One thing was for certain as perceptive as she was, Gailleann knew when to push, and when to ease back and let things work out on their own. Her attention shifted solely upon Saphira at the golden kissed snow white female's question.
"I have been traveling the whole of the island in relation to my search. As it happens I was working my way northward when Malachi came across me. While I would have eventually cross this packs lands, I would not have stayed long, let alone came in contact with any of its residents. Malachi's suggestion that we meet brought me here quicker. And gave me the opportunity to meet someone he values. Which is important to me."
While the sunny disposition mellowed slightly, the warmth that filled her voice nor the tempest that danced in her gaze had dimmed in the slightest. Poised delicately she was the perfect visage of a lady once more.

He watched Saphira walk closer to him as he prepared for the worst. Yet, she remained as sweet as ever and brushed up against his shoulder. Stormy eyes met her mismatched gems and his expression relaxed. He bowed his head in thanks even before he realized there was no tightening in his chest at having his personal space invaded. He genuinely appreciated it.
When Gailleann called him a giant, he looked at her in puzzlement. He wasn't that much taller than her but did weight a bit more. His training demanded that of him though. He shook his head slightly, silly girl. He never minded being called gruff or anything like it. In his mind he was so why be offended if someone else thought so too?
Then one more flinch crossed his face. She mentioned he missed her. But he had began to prepare for such confessions. "There is nothing wrong with wishing to see an old friend." He stated calmly, looking back at Saphira as he spoke.
A tug on his ear forced his face to look at Gailleann. She seemed to have a fondness for his ears. Odd. "Caution has its merits, Miss." He had always been cautious, even as a pup. And Faith. How could he have faith, when he had nothing to base it off of?
Dropping it for now, he let her tell more of her story. All the while, being acutely aware of Saphiras proximity however he kept his face neutral. It was his gift and his curse.
"She searches for her blood sister who should have washed up onto the island with her. I had offered to do what I could." Straight and to the point, that was his way of life really. Not to mention he still was trying to compose himself after the revealing conversation that had just concluded.
Saphira smiled at Gailleann. The smaller she-wolf seemed to like to talk a lot, but that was alright. Saphira was aware she also liked to talk a lot. It was something else these wolves had in common despite their connection to Malachi.
Saphira glanced over at Malachi wondering if he liked the idea of them as much as she did. Gailleann seemed to. The way she kept bringing up the subject in subtle ways such as telling Saphira that Malachi missed her… The thought caused her face to flush. He really missed her? Sometimes she wondered why he had never settled down. Was it the demons he fought related to his family that kept him from doing so?
“So you missed me, huh?” she asked Malachi with a cheeky grin and a teasing voice. “It seems you’ve been around a lot lately.” Then turning to Gailleann she added, “I haven’t been able to get rid of him. He shows up wherever I am, even if it’s pack lands, now.” The arctic wolf could not keep the smile off her face or take anything she was saying seriously, which she was sure was just ruining the effect of the humor. She did also hope that Malachi wouldn’t stop trespassing just because she had teased him about it. She quite liked having him show up unexpectedly without her having to leave Kamari in search of him.
There was a brief exchange between Malachi and Gailleann and Saphira found that she was incredibly curious what they had said. Was it about her? No, that was a narcissistic thought. But she could not shake the thought.
Saphira got excited and sad for Gailleann as they explained her presence here in Kamari. “I’m sorry about your sister. I wish I could help, but I haven’t seen any loners around here..” she glanced around as if looking for her sister before continuing. “And it’s too bad you won’t be staying. I’m sure Valyn would love to have you, and I’d love the chance to get to know you better.” Perhaps even mentioning her pack would spark questions with the she-wolf and she could have the opportunity to offer a home to another wolf – a friend of Malachi’s no less. Even if she had not liked Gaillean, and she had the feeling she was going to, she would have been respectful out of deference to Malachi and trust in his discernment of character.
Words: 406 Muse: good Tags: Gailleann, Malachi Notes: Was Gailleann planning on joining Valyn? or was that not going to happen until later or did I completely misunderstand something?
Leann chuckled softly as Mal admitted without really admitting that he missed the beautiful Arctic femme. Now when Saphira piped in that only made Gailleann grin more. Leaning close with a 'conspiring whisper' that would easily be overhead. "He did indeed, you should have seen the way his eyes lit up when I said I'd be happy to come here. I had to make him rest for the night else he would have set out immediately!" The fiery pelted wolf sat back delighted. She would have liked Saphira no matter what, because she was important to Malachi. But the fact was after they had met she immediately liked the arctic wolf with brushed gold and duel colored eyes. It was an easy thing to imagine them becoming genuine friends.
A dip of her muzzle acknowledged Saphira's words. "A handsome stalker you have there, Saphira, I wish I could be so lucky." Despite the words there wasn't a single wistful tone to that voice. In reality she was completely oblivious of males, and would likely end up in a complete stammering fluster if she ever realized a male she spoke to was interested in more then a simple friendship. As much as she acted worldly and knowing when it came to other wolves, when it came to herself she completely lacked experience with male interaction. It was the main reason why she had never once entertained any romantic fantasies about Malachi, it simply never occurred to her. And doubly so when she heard him speak the arctic name the first time.
When she grabbed Mal's ear and gave it a tug, reminiscent of what pups do to one another and a habit she'd formed with her lost sister, she spoke to him quietly. It was then that she caught Saphira watching them curiously Leann gave her a deliberate wink. She would gladly tell her when certain male ears weren't around to interrupt 'girl talk' though she doubted the snow white and golden brushed wolfess would understand that at this point. Once they held a more solid friendship, it would be much easier to understand one another.
The conversation then turned to herself as Saphira inquired about her reasons for being here, what gaps she left Malachi was kind enough to fill in. For which she was grateful, despite her determination there were moments when it was difficult to talk about the loss of her sister. Fiery twins fell backwards while that storm colored gaze dropped to the ground taking a moment to compose herself before returning her attention to the conversation at paw.
Latching on the change of subject the femme had offered, whether purposefully or not, Leann would tilt her head in question. "If I may ask, what kind of pack is Valyn?"
He could just about die from embarrassment at this point, something he never really thought possible before but he was seriously thinking it was a plausible way to go at the moment. Even Saphira was joining in teasing him and he had no idea how to counter her statements. She was right, he had visited rather often and made no mystery about wanting to talk to just her. He was too obvious. So much for priding himself on strategic abilities as he listened to two females pierce through his heart with giggles and smiles.
"You were undergoing stress. Wanted to make sure you were alright." Not his best defense since it was soon noticeable that she had melded into her new merged pack rather well. She didn't need him anymore, he was the one who sought her out. It couldn't be long before she figured it out if she hadn't already that he absolutely treasured her. Gailleann only heaped onto his bafflement by calling him handsome. She knew he was awkward with compliments like that. He never knew how to respond. But as the conversation thankfully take a turn, he decided to just leave it as it lay and hope that they were entertained with the new topic at hand.
Nevertheless, he was glad they were getting along. That initial tension seemed to have dissipated and he was all the happier for it. There must be some odd bonding strengths that involved teasing. Yet another aspect of social exchanges that he didn't understand. Mark it on the board along with all the rest.
It seemed that he had no part in this discussion at the present and so he just sat back and let them figure it out since Saphira knew Valyn best and Gailleann was the target of questions at the time and most likely to voice what was on her mind. He would only observe unless he was directly brought into it.
Saphira found herself enjoying taking sides with Gailleann to make Malachi uncomfortable. He truly was adorable not knowing what to say. And yet, she wished he would not be uncomfortable. She liked how she was usually able to make him feel at ease and force him to open up to her. There would, of course, be other times for such conversations. For now, this was too fun. She hoped Malachi did not mind.
Gailleann was a lot of fun to be around, and oddly, Saphira found herself wishing she would stay. Typically Saphira did not mind making friends with everyone, even knowing the chances of them meeting again were slim. But there was something about the connection she already felt with Gailleann because of Malachi… She could see the two of them becoming best friends and frequently teasing Malachi. Of course, in that vision of a future, both she and Malachi would have to stick around, and Malachi was a loner through and through. Saphira knew that. And Gailleann was searching for her sister. It was unlikely she would want to settle down. I wish I could be so lucky.
Yes, Saphira did think she was quite lucky. She loved her home, her pack, her family, her... She stopped herself there. Just Malachi, not yours. She knew she sometimes had the thought that she wished they could be more than just friends, that he would join Valyn, but that she loved him? That was new to her.
“Um, yes. Very lucky.” she muttered to herself trying to shake away that train of thought. It would not help anything.
You were undergoing stress. Wanted to make sure you were alright.
Saphira’s gaze fell to the ground as she smiled somewhat shyly, a vast change in mood from her previous playful teasing.
If I may ask, what kind of pack is Valyn?
Saphira let out a nervous laugh at the prospect of having to explain everything going on with Valyn, but she was happy for the distraction. “Well, as Malachi knows, that is complicated.” She took a deep breath, debating where to start. “My father, the alpha of Descai, had many litters. When I was very little, I remember some of my older sisters leaving. I heard rumors of their values and the pack they had founded -- Valyn.” The arctic she-wolf continued to explain about what she had heard about the old Valyn and how Valeria had returned and was very different than she had always imagined, about Kairos taking over their lands, about the merge, about her father’s recent passing, and Valeria taking over the leadership of the combined packs of Descai and Valyn, now under the name of Valyn.
Saphira knew it was a lot of information and was not sure how much of it Gailleann was following. “Basically, we’re still figuring things out for ourselves right now. But…” she threw a sideways glance at Malachi, aware he did not know this yet, “I was recently promoted.” Excitement flickered in her eyes. “I’m now a Virtue. We’re.. basically advisors. To Valeria.” She was practically bouncing now, finding her usual level of energy again.
Noticing Malachi was just sitting and patiently listening, she decided to bring him into the conversation again, at least through mention. “Malachi really helped me when all the changes were going on. He’s very easy to talk to and good at being a calming influence.” Her eyes searched for his to communicate her gratitude wordlessly.
In a discrete fashion Leann bit her tongue as he tried to down play his reason for wanting to see Saphira, silly boy she thought in amusement. But Leann knew when to back off the teasing especially when Saphira took on a bashful role. Yes these two were perfect for one another, and already the seeds of romance was planted between them. Gailleann just hoped, with maybe a nudge or two, that the pair would see those seeds grow into something that would last.
So she dropped the teasing for a moment and took a hold of the shift in the conversation, voicing a question about the sun touched snowy female. With a serious expression, something that wasn't commonly seen on the lady's visage, she would listen intently to the explanation given. A thoughtful tilt to her head, she would glance towards Malachi, as Saphira brought him once more into the conversation. A warm loving smile graced her lips as she spoke, "Yes he is, I'd have been lost without him. He is a rock, even if he doesn't realize it. I am proud to call him brother, though I have my doubts as to whether or not he's very pleased with me at the moment." That smile shifted into a playful grin.
Just as the storm are swift to shift moods so did Leann as her attention once more returned to the topic of Valyn. "I wonder.... if I were to join, would I be forced to cease my search? Or could I continue it?" Perhaps she could be a huntress, they are constantly on the move seeking prey to feed the pack so long as she upheld her duties. But the truth was, Gailleann was tired of being alone, it had been months since she washed ashore, months since she held constant company. And in her heart she knew she wasn't a creature designed to live life alone. And maybe if she joined, it would cause Malachi to consider remaining as well. Or at the very least he would only have to travel to one territory to see his sister and the girl he likes. These thoughts and others raced through her mind as she debated internally waiting for Saphira's reply in regards to her search. Because until she found Díoltas, she would never stop looking for her, nor would she ever give up hope that one day they would be reunited.

Please note the donation page is listed under Uru's name as it cannot be listed otherwise without a business account. All funds associated with this PayPal account will be used directly for the maintenance and costs of Anikira, and hopefully soon anikira.com as our roleplaying forum.
This untraditional coupling is one of the truly loving matches in Anikira. Although they are members of two different species, Calantha and Rikez have overcome the differences and rose above, finding love in the most pure of ways. And from this pairing, a litter born of two loving parents was conceived. These little boys and girls will have the great honor of being raised by two parents that support each other, while many of the offspring in Anikira have not had such a benefit. The pair are truly fitting of one another; both kind-hearted and generally good individuals.
