Flame and cream drifted idly over the terrain. Towering husks of burned timber, the eerie rolling fog that seemingly penetrated every nook and cranny of the area bellowed out around the lone wolfess. Eye that contained the very storm clouds that lingered overhead threatening to spill rain or snow at any moment did nothing to hide their intense curiosity as they drifted over the desolate ghostly forest. It was not to long ago that Gailleann had left Malachi and Saphira together, giving them space to spend time with one another. As much as she adored her new found brother and the she wolf who held his affections she knew they needed time alone to develop that relationship.
That aside she was seriously contemplating words that gold kissed wolfess had uttered near the beginning of their introduction to one another. Join Valyn. Leann had never been in a pack before, having been sorta raised by her emotionally shattered mother along side her sister, she knew there was no real pack structure there. It would be an experience she would gladly welcome, especially if Malachi chose to join also. But what gave her pause was one simple fact. Her mission in life at this moment was to find her sister, there wasn't a doubt in her mind that Dioltas had survived the storm, had been washed ashore on the same island that Gailleann herself had. It was a belief that Leann refused to give up for any reason. But there were facts to face, life here as a loner was dangerous, although she had managed to search a hefty portion of the lower lands, the lands to the north had yet to fall beneath her scrutiny. The main reason for this was tales of the pack who occupied a large section, snapping up lands and woods as if it was going out of style. The tales were never pleasant, and had filled her heart with dread. But here she stood, on their lands, though it would be a short swift run to make it to the safety of Valyn lands once more. Though she did not warrant pack protection, she had a route already mentally marked for escape. She had no doubt she'd be able to out run and out last those of the giant pack, endurance was one of the two things she excelled at. Still it simply lay on the side of wisdom to not be caught trespassing in the first place as it appeared, if all tales were true, those philanderer into their lands were dealt with swiftly and viciously. Whether they be loner or otherwise.
Leann didn't know if it was courage or stupidity that had brought her here to continue her search while she debated the pros and cons of joining a pack. Still it was habit that had her scenting the air, seeking the familiar cool scent that was uniquely her siblings. Flanks would expand deeply as that blackened tip twitched delicately before that breath was released in a heavy sigh. Nothing.... Twin soldiers tipped backward with disappointment.
