History:
Born into the Chamoru Plains of I'queyer, Eithne had never truly known a home. He was born into a litter of three but was under great stress from day one. His parents traveled constantly, having no pack of their own. His father had once been a pack wolf, but had deserted them on a whim and love. His mother never trusted packs and had always known the life of a loner. The pregnancy had been hard on his mother, producing two healthy pups, but one was a little worse for wear. His youngest sibling was unfortunately a runt. She was weakened from day one, but managed to get on her feet as situation grew pressing. They were just outside of pack borders and couldn't linger too long. Seeking his offspring and mate well enough to travel, his father quickly brought them into safer grounds.
From puphood, Eithne was charged with caring for his siblings. His younger brother could hold his own and refused to be coddled. His sister, however, was in dire need of attention. She was able to travel and move on her own, but had trouble keeping weight and muscle mass. The she wolf would never gain the bulk of a true timber wolf. It broke their parents hearts, watching her struggle to keep up with her brothers. Eithne refused to let anything happen to her, sticking close by when they had to move. His brother refused to let things weigh him down. He resented the weakness of their sister, calling her dead weight when it was just him and Eithne. He got in many fights with his brother, refusing to stand for such hatred. Seasons changed and Eithne grew with his siblings. His sister maintained stable weight, but would always be petite for her species. Though she was a fighter, making their parents proud.
The summer of their first year, his brother changed, drastically. He withdrew from their parents, barely speaking two words to either of them. He acted out aggressively toward his siblings, constantly lunging at their sister. Eithne grew suspicious of his brother's motives. He had said he wished to help Eithne care for her and strengthen her. But there was a look in his eye that made Eithne cautious. His brother settled for the moment, seemingly keeping to his word. Though it would be later into a cool summer night that things would change drastically. His father had found a den for the night, the small family packed into the alcove and resting for the night. The second brother found it the perfect time to strike. A bloodcurdling scream broke the peaceful silence, immediately rousing the rest of the family.
Eithne was first into action, following the sound out of the den and into the dense forest. A small creek bed laid nearby, there he found a horrifying sight. His brother held their sister by the neck, her fur stained in blood and her breathing slower than normal. There were signs of a struggle everywhere and the pressure on his sister's neck steadily grew stronger. Eithne wasted no time and shoved his brother off their sister. It was then he saw the extent of her injures. Fur had been ripped from her neck, her left ear was torn and it had appeared as if she couldn't stand. Fueled by rage, he fought his deranged brother, struggling to keep him away from their sister and hopefully get through to him. He and his brother tumbled into the creek bed, twisting Eithne's left leg and fracturing it. They struggled until his brother was finally pinned at the neck.
Their father stepped in and it was revealed that their brother no longer wished for a loner life. He believed everything was survival of the fittest and saw any sign of weakness as only a means of slowing them down. His brother had then broke away and lunged for their father. He refused to live calmly and wanted everyone to look up to him. Their father wouldn't stand for it and fought off his clearly mad son. He broke ties and forced him into exile. The mad brother ran off into the night, never to be seen again. It was a slow recovery for Eithne's family. His sister recovered but her ear was forever damaged. The fracture Eithne suffered was minimal and healed quickly though he now limped when he pressed weight on it. Their father only suffered miner cuts but the pain of a broken heart didn't heal fast enough.
They mourned their exiled son, deciding it was best to move on to break the tension. As if by some miracle, Eithne's sister seemed almost reborn. Her strength returned and though she was still small, she was able to better care for herself. It seemed as though in his madness, their brother had healed her. Eithne was proud of his sister and they gradually returned to how it was before. On the crest of his second year, Eithne spoke his desire to find his own way. It was with a heavy heart and mournful goodbye that he left his family to make his own path. He was content in knowing his sister could survive on her own, so he would wish her the best. His journey started slow and he took in his surroundings. He knew he would not do well on his own, so he began a search for a pack. It would be the opposite of what his parents had done, but he felt it was the best course it him.
Personality:
Casual and confident, Eithne is the eptiome of a team player. He's on the quiet side, keeping an eye out for those around him. He's careful and studious, but not completely off putting. He is quite charismatic and easy going. He generally does better in a pack than on his own. He relies on others as much as they rely on him. He's rather simplistic, not wanting much more than he already has. Safety and comfort is all he really cares for. He is protective of his pack members, especially the younger members. He is a complete softy for pups, being playful and young in spirit. He is a watchful brute, keeping mostly to himself. For all of his charisma, personal issues are not something he deals with, lightly. He prefers to keep things casual and not get too attached unless they are apart of his own pack.
Flirtatious, but in a classic and subtle way. He enjoys the company of females, but is not exactly forward. He prefers to observe and play the field by ear. He is a classic romantic, having been known to try his best to impress the most high maintenance of females. He is a bit awkward when it comes to mating, not overly experienced himself. He is more of an adventurer with a traveling spirit. Though he remains close to those he trusts. He makes sure everyone is safe, keeping their interests above his own. He is of gentle nature, but not one to count out when it comes to a fight. He tends to drop hints in the form of gifts to those he chooses to mate, keeping it playful and fun. Though it's not a priority at this point in time. He prefers to focus on his own issues and keeping those around him safe. He'd like to live it up while he's young and worry about the details later.
