It truly was a beautiful day. Although they were still nestled within the 'winter' months of the Shyia, the large male could easily tell that spring was well on it's way. In fact, the beach was clear of snow and the sun was shining bright overhead, beating down on his back and making him seek out the shade of the Issimor Caverns. He had frequented this place often, especially after he and his love, Harlot, had spent the night together here. His pace slowed as he neared the entrance, ducking his head slightly to avoid the rocks and sighing heavily as he relaxed within the shade just inside the caves. He had come here to rest, to relax and regain some energy he had lost over the past few days. Not only had he been patrolling two territories instead of one, but he had also battled an enormous leopard seal that had threatened the lives of two wolves that had crash landed within Cryothia. Although he had come out of the fight without any external wounds, he had suffered a few internal ones that left him with a slight temporary limp and exhausted him a bit faster than usual.
In fact, as he turned around to face the entrance of the cave, he slowly let himself sink down into a laying position. With a heavy sigh and a soft groan, he got himself comfortable on the sandy floor and lowered his head to rest it on his paws. Finally he could relax. Not only was the cave a comfortable place to be alone, it also held memories for him. He had come here to hold the meeting with the rest of the pack to announce that Toiro had made him alpha in his stead. He had come here with Harlot and this had become the beginning of his family. The grey wolf smiled slightly, closing his eyes and remembering the day that had brought them here. She was nothing like anyone he had ever met before. Not only was she beautiful, but she was also tough and mysterious at the same time. How could one wolf be so many different things? Hell, how could one wolf be so many things to him?
He had not seen her for a while, which worried him, but he knew that she was safe in Airila territory. Surely she would not leave the Shyia or Cryothia when she was so pregnant, right? The lands that bordered Airila were either unclaimed or Kairos, neither of which were safe for such a small, pregnant female. He frowned at the thought of her getting hurt, the tension that filled his body making him groan and wince as a sharp pain ran through his injured chest. No doubt he had cracked a rib and probably at least bruised a lung, but he had refused to take up all of Calantha's time. No, she was caring for the newest members of Airila, Loxley and Sheriff. Their health was important, for they surely had gone through much worse than he had. But he was also concerned about Hannibal, for the other male had taken quite a beating during the fight as well.
