Freya had had better days. Today was a day filled with pain and bitterness. She was extremely hurt since her mate had left her. She was just up and gone one day. One minute she was laying alongside her and the next gone without a trace! Freya could still remember that day like it was just yesterday. She awoke expecting her to be right next to her and she was gone. At first Freya thought it was normal and that she was probably out hunting, but then time began to pass and she still hadn't returned. It was then that she started to become concerned. She circled Othala's territory at least three times without finding her. This was when she began to stress. She screamed her name for hours, and continued to search until her legs couldn't carry her weary frame anymore. And now months had passed and she was still gone. There were days where Freya searched for her from sunrise to sunset. But today she was just straight bitter. What had she done to deserve this? She had saved her life from a random wolf attack and this was how she repaid her? She had asked the Gods for answers, even poked and prodded them when she received visions about other things but they had no news to give her. It bothered her because she wouldn't care as much if she knew that she was still alive and well. The fact that Freya did not know of her whereabouts was unsettling.
She frowned, moving out of her den and heading off towards the pools. All she wanted to do was go for a swim. Maybe if she was lucky she would drown in the process. Dinnae think lik' that! Her conscious scolded her but all Freya could do was scowl. How come bring her intae mah lee juist tae hae her lea me? She grumbled, meanwhile picking up her pace just the slightest. Soon the water came into view and before long she was wading into it. It was just warm enough out that the water wasn't bone chilling cold. It was still cold enough to remind her of just how alive and well she was. She closed her eyes for a moment, allowing herself to relax for the time being. She couldn't continue to be this emotional about this. She had a job in this pack and she couldn't let her personal life come in the way of that.
notes: here we go, I'm excited to have them meet even though she's grumpy! c:
