[attr="class","pltxt"]Laurel had been summoned by Severus for what she assumed would be a conversation about her duties within the pack. Since she had been given the rank of warrior it was only natural for her to assume that Severus would want her to begin helping train the youth. Having been taught how to fight and strategize from an early age she felt able to do the task at hand. After meeting Wraith she found herself eager to share some of what she knew with the rest of her pack. Fate had lead her paws to Ultoris and so she supposed that maybe her purpose here was to help this pack become mighty once again. There had been a whisper or two about the return of the previous alpha Fury and how the majority of the packs membership was newer. Laurel's childhood had been spent amongst one of the oldest Dire bloodlines that was still in tact, a pack that accepted no new members. This place was so much different than the place of her birth. Being able to share some of the heritage that was passed on to her would be her pleasure. Ancient rituals and knowledge that was meant for the next leader of the council was now hers to share. From as early as she could remember she had been groomed for a role of leadership, until the day of her banishment. These days had her often thinking about the events and choices that had lead her here. The blood that seemed to pool at her feet had only been the foundation for the journey that had led her here, no matter how unyielding a journey it was.
With each passing day she began to think of Aleru as her home and she was rapidly making herself acquainted with her new pack mates. She had not talked with Severus since her joining a few weeks ago, this being a good opportunity to talk about what he expected of her. Being a loner meant she had no one to answer too and now she was making the adjustment to having others depend on her. More than anything Laurel wanted her pack mates to be able to rely on her for anything. Rocket had decided to stay with Mythril for the day, smitten with his new friend. Not having him around would mean that she would have to talk to Severus all on her own, not having her companion for the first time in ages. Though she knew how to talk and was perfectly capable of conversing, she was happy to let Rocket chatter on. Picking up her pace she made her way out of the caverns of Aleru wanting the catch Severus sooner rather than later. Whatever he had to talk to her about was no doubt pressing enough to make her hurry. The idea of having one wolf in charge of an entire pack was very foreign to her, a concept she needed to get used to. There was no council here to rule over the pack, this place was nothing like her origins. It didn't take long for Laurel to pick up the brute's scent, the smell lingering close to the entrance to the system of caves and caverns. He came into sight after a few moments and Laurel stepped closer to him before dipping her head in respect. "Alpha." It was a formal greeting, but she supposed it fit. He was her leader now and she owed him her respect as well as her allegiance. Time would tell if this really was the path she was meant to take.
