The black pelted she wolf made no sound at all as she slipped in and out of the trees. After weeks of non-stop travelling, the lithe, slender femmora had finally made it. She was in Anikira. Where she could start a new life with her young son, Trika, who was born earlier in the year. With the pup hanging from her mouth, her teeth gently, yet firmly, holding onto the gray coloured pup's scruff, as she navigated her way through the forest. Inferno stopped for a moment, and placed Trika down, as she sniffed the air. I can smell other wolves.... I have two choices. I either assume that the wolves are a threat to Trika, and I turn back around, and go back the way I came. Or, I could throw caution to the wind, and carry on the route that I'm travelling at the moment. Ah, what the hell, I'll take the second option. There might be a pack looking for members up here, too. Only one way to find out, I guess...... Inferno sighed, shivering as the cold draft ruffled her fur, before she picked Trika up by the scruff of the neck, and headed off again, in the direction of the other wolf scents.
Inferno finally stepped out of the forest, and into sunlight. Woah, I didn't expect that. Just a while ago, it was freezing in that forest. Ah well, why the heck do I care? She shrugged, and then looked around, Trika still patiently hanging from his mothers mouth, keeping suspended in the air only by his scruff. Inferno's eyes lit up as she saw the hot springs. Yeah, now I've hit the jackpot. She quickened her pace as she set off in the direction of the heat and the warmth.
Exhausted by the long journey, once Inferno and Trika reached the springs, the onyx coloured huntress placed her pup down on the flat slabs oftone, beside the largest of the springs, which was warmed by the hot water underneath it, and Inferno slipped into the warm water, sighing with relief, as the warm water, which was letting off stream, relaxed her muscles. The she-wolf felt her tail wag beneath the water, and she giggled slightly, and let her head tilt back in bliss. Trika watched her contently, and was obviously excited by his new surroundings, but he stayed close to his mother. Inferno trusted Trika not to run off, so she closed her eyes for a moment, and let her mind slip into deep thought. Life might just be getting better for me and Trika. A whole new beginning for us. Maybe.....just maybe.....
