‘Perhaps this can be my new home…’ Meikou’s red-brown almost orange colored eyes looked around the large lake. Unlike where she had been before it did not smell like the sea salt, it smelt fresh and calming. However unlike the ocean there was no sound of the waves, ebbing in and out. ‘If only the sea smelt this refreshing.’ If the ocean had the smell of this lake then it would be the perfect relaxing place. She looked down at her paws momentarily as the sand from the banks squeezed between her toes. It was soft and it felt good, also relaxing. Slowly the she-wolf made her way down the banks of the lake and under the large shading of great Oak trees. She looked up at the large trees, admiring how tall they where. ‘This place is so… nostalgia.’ She could not find the word for it, but it brought back a lot of memories when she was little. When she was still with Yuu…
“Miki, hurry up you slowpoke!” The sandy colored brute, known as Yuu called to his mate; Meikou as he ran through the large, forest trees as they both headed toward the lake. All that could be seen of the larger wolf was his back end as he ran faster than Meikou. “Yuuuuuu!” Meikou whined dragging out his name as she desperately tried to catch up to him. She could hear him laugh at her before he stopped and waited for her. She smiled as she caught up to him, nuzzling his shoulder. She gave a soft sigh as he nuzzled the top of her head, she felt so happy when she was with him. How lucky she felt to have found a brute like him, her was perfect! They both made their way to the lake and lied down in the sand together enjoying only the sound of nature around them and the company of only each other.
Miki gave a heavy sigh and dropped herself down under the Oak tree by the lake’s bank. She batted softly at the water, watching it ripple under her paws. ‘I hope I don’t get in trouble for being here…’ She thought a little nervously she was on someone else’s terra without permission. ‘Well I howled and I got no answer so they have no excuse to yell at me!’ She argued with reason in her mind, whoever the alpha was she was going to give him-or her- a piece of her mind for not being polite to loners who wished to join their packs!
