Sario walked stealthily through the plain, looking for any sort of wolf he could find. He had never felt anymore lonely than he did right now- not even when all the attention was on his older sister. Elessario kept his chin up though, and hoped he'd find some sort of company- even an older, not playful wolf. All he wanted was to here the voice of someone of his kind. Rio knew there had to be at least one wolf on this island, somewhere. As he walked, he grew even more tired. He felt as though, he was almost to the point of collapsing. Instead of falling and landing on something that could, and would, probably hurt him, he layed down and curled into a ball.
As he lay in the plain, thoughts and memories began to fill his mind. He missed his mother, his father and even most of the pack. He longed for his sister to return, unharmed and with a happy story of how she escaped. He knew though that this would not happen. He wished it did, but sadly, he knew it most likely would not. With any luck, he'd at least find another wolf.
Sario's instincts, as young as they were, told him that he should probably howl to find someone else. The little guy had never howled before, so this would be rather interesting. Rio pulled himself up to a sitting position, which would proably be better for howling. He took a deep breath, leaned his head back, and... barked? Yes, little Rio barked instead of howling. He had only heard a howl once or twice, but he knew what he had to do. He had to back, except, hold it out. He straighted back out and took another deep breath before pulling his head back to howl.
This time, he acctually howled. Glee built up inside him as he howled the message, "Rio is looking for a friend!" He sat back up so he could look around, alert of his surrondings. If he was fortunate- which he, unfortunately, he was not- he may of been heard by another wolf in the area. If no one shows up, he told himself, in the next few hours, I'll have to go searching for a friend. Searching this area would be a great task, sine wolves are so fast when they're grown up. However, Rio had a pretty good idea that he'd be able to track someone down on thsi island. It wasn't possible he was the last wolf left here, was it?
