With a nod of her head, Denali turned and started walking again. Just being around such an upbeat wolf was enough to chase away most of her feelings of depression. She was slowly cooling down, turning into her usual self for the most part. As long as the paranoia didn't kick in and she didn't have any lapses any time soon, she expected that the next few days would be decent to live through.
The plains were quite close to the beach, and it wasn't long before sticky sand was giving way to blades of grass. Denali's pads were tickled by the new landscape, and after a few more moments of walking she finally halted. Tilting her snout towards the sky, she inhaled deeply. The flowered plains of Chamoru smelled gorgeous, but there was one scent in particular the femme was looking for. It was the scent of water.
Not catching anything, she sighed and turned to her current companion. Hopefully it would be a long time before Denali lost Sianna's company. As long as she could fend off her mood swings and not fall into one of those blasted, unexplainable trances, all would good. The longer Sianna did not know about Denali's highly rare condition, the better. Just because the floppy eared femme knew she was schizophrenic did not mean the multicolored fae would understand her troubled mind. Quite the contrary, Denali figured she would be all the others; scared of the unknown and slightly bitter.
Pushing those thoughts away, the femme offered a small smile. "We'll probably have to travel further inland for a while," she began, before pausing to let out a yawn. Her tongue curled back as her maw opened wide, doggy breath mingling with the fresh air. When the inconvienient action finally ceased, she began speaking again. "I've yet to scent any water near by. Hopefully we'll stumble upon some luck." Her tone was hopeful as she looked over Sianna. Little did the other femme know, however, that Denali was not just speaking of luck for finding water. She was also commenting on her own mental state, hoping for one of those rare, lucky times when things would go well and actually let her keep a friend for a while.
