Koli stood stiff leggeded and tall. His ears were erect and forward, and the hackles bristle slightly. His tail held vertically and curled toward the back. It was clear he was a strong wolf and it was clear he was quite a dominant wolf.
Koli had just left his fathers pack. He hadn't been top wolf their exactly. But he'd been born an alpha.... and an alpha at heart he would always be. Even if he was in a pack with another Alpha. He could survive... but no way would he ever be a Silka. If his father heard he'd be ashamed. Koli wasn't a coward or weak.
Darting between trees Koli rapidly embracing the shadows that came at him. The last bit of light was slowly draining away to leave a void of darkness. But as the darkness thickened Koli quickened his pace. Hoping to find some source of food.
Koli's paws sunk into the ground but he hardly left a mark on the ground as he ran quickly; darting in and out of trees. Finally he came to a clearing and his keen eyes spotted some game.
Koli lifted his proud and strong muzzle to the sky and howled. His muscles tensed up as he got ready to hunt. Koli had no idea he was in someone's pack lands. All he cared for was that he'd be eating tonight
Fur bristled on his neck and spine as Taurus followed the sound of the howl and the scent of the arrogant male. Unlike he his submissive behavior with the Alpha, he now stood up straight, head held high and tail swaying up with dominance. He was in no position to demand it, but how would this other wolf even know he wasn’t of high rank? He knew how to act high up there and how to demand respect from others. Like this trespasser, he was supposed to be an Alpha himself until his own pack members betrayed him. Truthfully, he puts the past behind him. He could careless of what he could have been and is more focused on what he is now.
As the brute came into view a growl was released from his muzzle, showing the other he was obvious irritated by his behavior. His howl hadn’t been to tell the others he wanted to come upon these lands. It was to tell the world, ‘Hey, I’m so important I’m going to howl before I hunt!’. Already this wolf was on Taurus’s bad side. Given the responsibility to be in charge while the alpha was gone was a great responsibility. He wasn’t going to let some trespasser mess it up.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?!” he snarled, teeth showing as he stared at the wolf ready to hunt. “Are you that stupid to not even notice that this territory is owned?” If Exodus were here he’d tear this kid apart. Hopefully this wolf would cooperate and make this all move smoothly. He didn’t feel like chasing this brat out of the lands and make it a longer walk to Drarynough.
“State your name and what made you dare trespass on the Salen pack’s borders,” he continued to growl, eyes glaring at the other male. The other was slightly larger then him, but he wasn’t too intimidated. The bigger they are, the harder they fall. Anyway, he had experience and age on his side.
What the hell do you think you’re doing?Hearing a snarl, Koli turned his head and stood up strongly. The snarl had been from another wolf, and Koli could tell that they weren't happy. Koli considered using a sly comeback, but the wolf looked angry enough. Are you that stupid to not even notice that this territory is owned
Koli softly pawed at the ground, allowing the grass to tickle his paws. For an easily angered wolf, he was surprisingly calm. Or so he appeared to be, inside Koli was fighting a battle with himself. He wanted to lunge at the wolf and tear at his throat for calling him stupid. But he was trying to control himself. He knew fighting wasn't the answer... this time. "I must admit, i take offesnse to a wolf like you calling a wolf as strong and wise as I... stupid He said snarling. "I am well aware that these lands are owned, but does that mean i cannot hunt? Does that mean i have to starve?" He said the bristles on his neck standing up slightly. "Most of the lands here are owned in some way, leaving wolves such as myself to starve"
“State your name and what made you dare trespass on the Salen pack’s borders Koli smiled cruely and stood up tall, trying to show the pathetic wolf in front of him that the blood of an Alpha ran through him. "I am Koli" He growled. "Son of Tek, i have the blood of an alpha in me. And looking at you, i see no power.. no athority." He said growling. "And my reason? I have already stated them, i need food, or else i shall not survive."

Athabasca slowed to a trot as she caught up with Taurus, who had halted before a large, clumsy-looking wolf who just looked like trouble. Silently, she strode up besdie Taurus and snarled at the other wolf, her fur bristling. "I need food, or else I shall not survive." The wolf's words made fury flare up in Athabasca's chest like a brushfire, and her icey eyes glinted with hostility toward the new wolf. "So you think you can just take it from our land? Alpha blood or not, if you dare hunt here without Exodus' permission I'll make sure your alpha blood is spilled all over the ground!" Athabasca snarled with unamountable rage at the wolf's indignance, while hoping no one had noticed she referred to the land as partly her own. She had not meant to say 'our', but hoped that someday she would be part of the Salen. Even if she was not accepted she knew could not stand to see such arrogance from such a stupid wolf. She could see no hint of alpha in this brute, only a body too big for his little brain to match up. Dumb brute. "I don't think anyone would care if a brute like you survived or not, anyhow."
Gradually Taurus began to calm down as he noticed something that he should have noticed before. This kid was a total idiot. With a short huff, he rolled his eyes in annoyance and replied with frustration, “You really need to get your head straight kid. You’re not with daddy anymore. Your blood ties don’t matter at all in the real world. Don’t live in your father’s shadow. That type of arrogance will get you killed,” The main reason he’d barked at this wolf was because he had intruded on the lands. At the beginning he thought he had some brains, but now he would not overestimate his mental power. To think, Taurus might have become a snob if he had actually become alpha in his father’s pack. “You have no real power, you know that right? You might physically be strong and mentally believe your ready, but the cockiness that’s in your head will destroy any chance you have for becoming one day powerful. You’re just another imitation.”
He saw many of these wolves running around these days. Prancing around like demigods that were indestructible. He had half the decency to not spit on them or pin them down to show them where their place was. Once they stepped off their father’s territory they were no longer of their high mighty status. They chose to become a loner and would have to work their way back up the food chain. Another alpha wouldn’t give them a high position, simply because they were born to have it. No one was born into anything. If they wanted it they needed to earn it.
A smirk rose on his face as at the male’s words. “You see no authority pup? Well it doesn’t have to be seen in order to be there. I’m in charge at the moment and you need to use those facts old daddy put in your head. I know my father taught me to show respect to others of higher status. You’re pop didn’t look over that little lesson, did he?” This male was already on his black list. He’d be sure to report his bad behavior to Exodus when he returned. Taurus would make sure he got the proper punishment he deserved if he wanted to join. Slowly he shook his head at the male’s next words. Hadn’t he ever been in a pack before? Did he live with his eyes closed? “And yes, you do starve. You wait by the borders or in the territory, like the female who howled recently, before doing anything. That’s what boundaries are for bub.” his voice grew softer as his repetition of basic facts were growing tiresome. “And that’s why a loners life is hard. It is nowhere near as nice as being the alpha’s son. I would know.” A frown grew on his face as a rush of memories took over. He had to block them out.
“You’re pathetic.” he spoke, now disappointed. “You really aren’t as wise and strong as you think you are.” Even if they got into a fight it would be equally matched. Once a little blood was spilled he would have an awful blood lust on his side. An adrenaline rush this young wolf would probably never have seen before. The male began to turn around, wanting to meet the other female that had kindly howled. “If you want to eat, join a pack. We’ve already gone on a hunt and the food is still in the mines. You can have some if you want to join. Otherwise, beat it. If I smell you’re scent lingering around here, I swear, your won’t walk away without any scratches, wolf that has the blood of an Alpha running threw him.” He snorted at his last mocking words, knowing it was true. “If you decide to leave, keep in mind what I said. Being called Son of Tek or kid with Alpha blood doesn’t sound that great. Make you own destiny, kid. And remember. We all have our flaws.”
Head swiveled to the side briefly in surprise to see Athabasca. A warm smile grew on his face, nodding lightly in greeting of her presence. The female was a hot flame, but he was happy he wasn’t the only one that was annoyed by this brute. He didn’t need any help chasing the male off, if need be, yet it wasn’t definitely intimidating when two pissed off wolves teamed up on a single pup.
At the arrival of another, Koligrowled slightly. Feeling slightly treatned. True, these weren't his lands. But he was hungry... and he was starting to grow weak from it. He wouldn't allow himself to become vulnerable. That wasn't what he was taught.
"So you think you can just take it from our land? Alpha blood or not, if you dare hunt here without Exodus' permission I'll make sure your alpha blood is spilled all over the ground!" Smiling at the she wolfs manner, Koli snuffed and smiled. It wasn't often that he saw a creature as beautiful as she was, have such a cruel manner. "Come now my dear, there is no need for empty threats." He said keeping his growl to a minimum. He tried not to get angry at females, it only caused him pain... and reminded him of what he had done. If he had only been brave and used his heritage... his mother would be alive.
You really need to get your head straight kid. You’re not with daddy anymore. Your blood ties don’t matter at all in the real world. Don’t live in your father’s shadow. That type of arrogance will get you killed Koli growled at the wolf and the bristles on his neck raised up higher. He didn't take kindly to this wolf insulting his heritage. Nor did he appreicate being called arrogant... true... in some ways he was. But was that truely is fault? Could he help his personality if it was how it was raised to be?
I don't think anyone would care if a brute like you survived or not, anyhow Turning back to the female he whined in pain. The insult had been well placed, and it had deeply hurt Koli. He knew he wasn't the most easiest wolf to get on with. But he had never been told that he'd be better off dead.... well... his father had said it a few times. But this was different.
You have no real power, you know that right? You might physically be strong and mentally believe your ready, but the cockiness that’s in your head will destroy any chance you have for becoming one day powerful. You’re just another imitation Contining to whine, Koli looked back at the male and his ears went back slightly. He was trying to show he still had power, but the females words still hung over him like a deadly disease. "Is it my fault?" He said trying to regain his composure. "Can a pup as you call me help what he is like if it how he was raised? He asked hoping the wolf would see things from his point.
“You see no authority pup? Well it doesn’t have to be seen in order to be there. I’m in charge at the moment and you need to use those facts old daddy put in your head. I know my father taught me to show respect to others of higher status. You’re pop didn’t look over that little lesson, did he?” Koli growled and his muscles tensed, he was once again trying to keep himself from launcing at the wolf. He tried to think over his lessons with the pack's Sharman. And tried to remember what they had said. "My father did teach me... but he wasn't a very kind Alpha. His teachings and views were planted within me." He said as his legs shook slightly as he wrestled with his instincts. "But when i saw you.... I did not see the composure of an Aplha... and for my rudeness... I apologise." Koli said, hoping his aplogy would bring some peace.
You’re pathetic Again the insult was well directed and Koli backed away slightly, he had never taken insults well, not since his fathers cruel words. And he knew if he stayed, and the insults continued... he wouldn't be able to stop himself from launching at the wolf. "You're wrong." He said, in a half growl half whine.
If you want to eat, join a pack. We’ve already gone on a hunt and the food is still in the mines. You can have some if you want to join. Otherwise, beat it. If I smell you’re scent lingering around here, I swear, your won’t walk away without any scratches Koli's belly stirred at the mention of food, and his paw raised slightly up off of the ground. He could feel the saliva in his mouth being produced and he swallowed to try and stop it from dripping. Though he longed for a taste of the food, it came at a price.... he would have to join a pack. A pack which Koli had already taken a disliking for...and no doubt they had a disliking for him.
If you decide to leave, keep in mind what I said. Being called Son of Tek or kid with Alpha blood doesn’t sound that great. Make you own destiny, kid. And remember. We all have our flaws Koli's tail shook slightly at the words of hope, he so longed to have his own destiny. But it seemed that the shadow of his father loomed over him. "If i could have my own destiny.... I would" He said his belly rumbiling as his mind still thought over the descision he had to make.
Koli looked over at the female and his ears rested on his head, the female was quite beautiful. But it was apparent that she had a sharp tongue... even now, her words loomed over him... and in a wy, it was her words which made him doubt 'joining' the pack. If he meant nothing to the world....why should he bother?
Athabasca glared at the intruder coldly, stifling a growl that rose in her heated throat. Her ears rose slightly as she saw the pain in his eyes, half-hoping it was not her fault, but she knew it was. Turning to Taurus, she whispered inaudibly "I'll be right back." before nodding at the other wolf to stay put before bounding away toward the mines.
~*~
"Here. Take this and leave." growled Athabasca as she lay the bloodied haunches of the one of the deer she had killed the day before at the wolf's feet. It wasn't a big piece of meat, but it was large enough to settle a starving wolf's stomach. She couldn't help but feel sorry for this brute, even though it was apparent he wasn't most polite or well-mannered wolf to acquaint with. But who could really say they're perfect? She knew how it felt to starve, and she didn't wish that kind of pain on any wolf. Lost in sorrowful memories, Athabasca turned away from the two males and padded away, her ears against her head. "I'm going back to the mines now. See ya later, Taurus.."she mumbled, her mind somewhere else, somewhere cold and damp and lonely that she thought she'd never have to see again in her life.
A yelp in the distance made Taurus’s ears perk up and he tried his best to hold in a sigh. Exodus must have known this was going to happen. This whole intrusion of his land was the danger and he didn’t want to be here on his own land when he blew up out of anger. Taurus was beginning to develop empathy for the Alpha, already disliking having to yell at all these wolves and scold them like fresh whelps. Brown eyes narrowed in irritation, as he knew another kind female was waiting very patiently in another part of the territory. He’d hate to punish her by making her sit there all night while he investigated the disturbance in the forest.
Eyes moved towards the other male again, his frown still plastered on his face when Athabasca left and returned with the pack’s meat. The kid didn’t deserve it. It was unwise to give freebies like this to loners, but he’d let it go for now. He wasn’t in the mood to snap at the few that were actually on his side. If it hadn’t been for the black female the brute might still be ranting about how glorious he was. Who knew someone’s soft spot could be whether the world cared if he died or not? Personally, it didn’t seem all that serious. Screw what the world thought. If you had a little bit of motivation or hope left there was a reason to still survive. Taurus was sure heaven wasn’t as great as everyone made it out to be.
“We can all make our own destinies. Don’t let someone force one upon you. You have to be stronger then that, c’mon?” he commented, before turning his back on the male. “Take the meat and leave, or go to the mines. Your choice, just remember my warning.” At his last words he turned his head to face the male and a tint of seriousness ran threw his eyes. He wanted to make sure this male knew exactly what he meant and exactly what was going to happen if he prowled around for no reason.
Turning his body around he took a few steps after Athabasca, traces of anger that had been caused by the male completely vanishing. They’d probably return once he found the other intruder, but for now he’d act grateful for her help. No time to act cynical when he had to run around. Anyway, he needed a favor. “Athabasca, please go to Drarynough and meet the she-wolf who howled earlier. I’ll shall meet you in the dens later.” He wore a grin as he said this, and there was a small hint of demand in his howl. ‘Oh. And I’ll mention to Exodus when he returns that you’d like to join his pack.’ he thought, but decided not to add it. He appeared amused as he remembered her yelling that statement as she was racing after him. It wasn’t like he wasn’t going to return as he ran off into the distance. She could have told him when they had actual time to sit down and talk.
I'll be right back Koli's eyes watched the fiesty female as she went off, his heart aching slightly. In a way, the she wolf reminded him of her own mother. Beautiful, yet with a strong personality. And in a way, though he disliked her manner towards him, he felt somewhat lonely without her there.
Silence filled the air, the only sound came from the wind moving inbetween the grass and the leaves of the trees. Koli considered bolting and not coming back. But he knew if he left, it would only mean one more day without food.... and if he tried to come back, he'd have to fight to survive.
Seeing the female returm, his ears picked up slightly and his tail wagged slolwly when he saw her carrying something. "Here. Take this and leave." Koli sniffed at the meat and saliva filled his mouth again. He longed to snap it up and give his hunger a rest. Whining slightly as his hunger grew stronger he looked at the female and the other male. He couldn't show weakness... not in front of them and not in front of anyone... if he accepted this... would it be a sign that he was submitting to them?
We can all make our own destinies. Don’t let someone force one upon you. You have to be stronger then that, c’mon?” Koli watched as the male turned his back on him and he sniffed the meat again and licked at the edge, allowing the sweet taste to tingle his taste buds. "I only know the destiny that was taught to me... nothing else. I have no idea how to find my own detiny." He said lowing his front so that his head was level with the meat. Nibbling at the edges he whined, the taste was so tempting, he wanted to wolf it down without any second thoughts. But he knew that was foolish. “Take the meat and leave, or go to the mines. Your choice, just remember my warning
Koli straightened up again and pawed the ground as he thought over his discision. If he ate the meat... he could leave with a full belly, but for how long? Eventually he would get hungry and would have to struggle to find food. And though he would never admit it, he would be lonely. But if he stayed with this pack, he could have the joy of being part of something, he could always have a full belly... but that would mean being a low rank... and if his father found out? Shuddering at the thought Koli growled. It was a hard decision... and in some ways, Koli feared being with a pack after the cruelty he had in his own.
There was only one way to find out. "May I ask the routine of your pack." He asked his tail lowered slightly, showing that he was submitting himself to the authority of the wolf. "Though it may not be apparent, I have many troubles with packs... I need to know that being with this pack.... shall not cause me harm." He said his eyes darting to the meat for a moment, the smell still strong in his nostrils.
Before he had a chance to run off and search for either female, Koli struck up another conversation. Taking a deep breath he tried to find his center, hoping to revive his patience that was beginning to wither. He had been in a rush running around hours ago and now he felt like he had come to a stand still. Koli had frozen him in his jumping around the territory and he was somewhat grateful for it. Now he could try and relax, even if in the back of his mind he worried about Abyss and Naira who had left back in the caves. Turning his body around he decided to sit down, rather then continue his standing. He wasn’t sure how curious this young brute would be, so he decided it was safe to settle down and answer everything appropriately.
The frown that had marked his face awkwardly morphed into a charmed smile. Koli’s choice of words had flattered him, in a small way, and he couldn’t help but being amused by it. “Actually, Koli, this isn’t my pack. Like Athabasca said, its Exodus’s and I am not Exodus. I’m just in charge till he gets back from the business he had to tend too,” he said softly before moving on to his next question. “There isn’t much of a routine in the pack yet. Exodus created the pack quite recently, as I am led to believe, and things are still falling into place. To my knowledge, no one has been given high ranks and everyone at the moment is a subordinate. As long as you treat others with respect and avoid any bad eggs, I’m sure you’ll be fine.” He nodded at the end of his statement. After his words he studied Koli for a bit, wondering if he should use this alone time to get to know him. The kid was pretty readable to everybody. Unlike the other wolves in the pack he didn’t care to hide his history or emotions. If anything, he screamed them out to the world. Already he knew his parents, his past, and his soft spots. The boy had to learn to keep his mouth shut about certain things. When information like that was on Taurus’s side, the cynical plotter always remembered it and wouldn’t hesitate to use it to his own advantage.
“Oh yes. I forgot to mention, my name is Taurus,” he added, wondering how he had missed introducing himself.
(( Sorry it’s short. I’m having a mind blank with Taurus today. x.x ))
Actually, Koli, this isn’t my pack. Like Athabasca said, its Exodus’s and I am not Exodus. I’m just in charge till he gets back from the business he had to tend too Koli turned his head to one side in confusion. If this wolf wasn't 'top dog' then how come he had acted in such a way, it just didn't make sense in Koli's mind. He wasn't a stupid wolf, but from what he'd been taught, this just didn't make sense.
But... at least he had a name to the female wolf. And it was a beautiful and strong name, to fit a wolf who was just the same. Koli noted down to compliment the she-wolf later on that fact. Not that it would matter, the femme would probably still hate his guts and want him dead.
There isn’t much of a routine in the pack yet. Exodus created the pack quite recently, as I am led to believe, and things are still falling into place Koli was again confused... no routine? He hoped there would be a routine... then again.... did he? His life as a cub had been very secluded and extreemly routined, whilst his siblings played he was trained. And that;'s all he knew... in a way, Koli needed routine, but he also wanted to abondon it, to live as a true wolf and be free. "I, I see," he said still feeling confused. "Do you know if there is to be a routine?"
As long as you treat others with respect and avoid any bad eggs, I’m sure you’ll be fine. Koli could not help but snort at the remark, how many times had he heard that and seen it to be a lie? He had often shown respect to his father, and yet nothing was fine. But, a small flicker of hope had ignited itself within Koli. Though he was denying it, he believed the wolf's words. After all, not every wolf was as cruel as his father.
Oh yes. I forgot to mention, my name is Taurus Snorting in amusment, Koli bared his teeth in a grin. "So, I finally get a name out of this mysterious wolf" He said chuckling. "Well, even though this meeting hasn't been my most favourable. It is certainly good to meet you Tarus" He said smoothly, he wasn't going to do anything else to annoy the wolf, and he still was unsure about joining the pack... if he did, it meant lowering himself... and he knew, he was certain that he couldn't. It would be a disgrace to his name, his heritage, and the blood and strength that ran through him.
The confusion of the other wolf was evident to Taurus, as no one could miss how the other male tilted his head and appeared absolutely lost. Now what the off white male had to figure out was what had caused such confusion. Looking over his words he couldn’t recall anything puzzling in what he had said. All of it made sense to him. Maybe he was confused what the alpha was doing off his lands? After all, it was odd for an Alpha to send news to other packs personally and run off leaving his own pack alone. Wouldn’t it have been easier to just send one of them? Taurus hadn’t thought about this whole situation so deeply before… In a way, he had just accepted his leaving. Now, the male was curious himself. Hopefully Exodus would have an explanation when he came back. Otherwise Taurus would have to pry it out of him, just to fulfill the nagging question that was now buzzing in his mind.
Blinking, Taurus wasn’t sure how to answer his next question. How would Taurus know? Nonetheless, he continued to try his best and answer all his questions confidently. “I’m sure there will be one eventually. If there wasn’t one, I’m sure the pack wouldn’t function very well. People would be just running around and soon the pack would suffer. So, yes, Exodus will probably have a routine or something along those lines.” A genuine smile formed on his face, successfully appearing to be knowledgeable of the packs future activities. Most of the information and facts he had gotten were from his own experiences in his last pack. He had also gathered from his pack days that people liked to be reassured. They wouldn’t join a pack that they thought could be unorganized and uncontrolled. Plus, he would hate for the Salen pack to lose credibility or respect while the Alpha was gone.
At the male’s next few words he replied with his own friendly chuckle. An ugly scene beforehand was finally becoming more at ease. It was easy to tell that the other male was beginning to accept him and understood why Taurus had acted in the past the way he did. A future friendship growing? That would definitely be amusing. He would be closer to every wolf than any real pack member. Already he and Athabasca were on good grounds, so Koli would be a nice bonus. Taurus took note that the male was still on the fence of whether he wanted to join the pack or not. Optimistically, Taurus hoped the male would come to a final decision after a few more exchanged sentences. ‘Just reeling him in Taurus’ he thought to himself, ‘he might be a little stubborn, but the more pack members the stronger the pack’
“Same here, Koli,” he said, and than his eyes lowered to the meat in front of the brute. “You know, you could eat that if you want. You’re probably starving.” At the thought of food, Taurus’s own stomach tightened. He had forgotten he hadn’t eaten after they dropped the deer off back in the mines. Athabasca’s feasting had been too much for him to bare eating a little himself. Luckily this wolf didn’t have a large section to rip up and eat. Taurus wasn’t sure if he could stand watching him feast if the meat had been any larger… ‘Don’t… think… about… it…’ he repeated to himself in his mind.
----
A howl rang through the forest causing Taurus to rise from his sitting position. “Shoot,” he growled as his head turned towards the direction it came from. This wasn’t good at all. Without glancing back at Koli he speedily comments, “I have to go Koli for obvious reasons. If you like you can come with, but I’m sure whatever has happened won’t be pretty.” His tone was cold now and any trace of friendliness had vanished. When he grew serious he tended to be harsher to those around him. It helped cloud it own worry. Someone in charge never showed weakness or vulnerability. Until he looked over the scene in the mines he’d try not to predict the worst. Try was the keyword.
Turning around the male dashed off, trying to focus on getting to the mines rather than what will be awaiting for him there.
I’m sure there will be one eventually. If there wasn’t one, I’m sure the pack wouldn’t function very well. People would be just running around and soon the pack would suffer. So, yes, Exodus will probably have a routine or something along those lines Koli nodded, not sure wether this fact had pleased him or not. Of course, having a routin was good. It meant wolves stayed in their place, and meant it was controlled. But Koli didn't like the thought of too much control... over over bearing power. He didn't want to be trapped in a pack like his father's. He wanted to excape that life, that was the main reason he had left and had refused to take over the pack. Because he wanted his own life.
Hearing Tarus chuckle, Koli eased a bit, the wolf didn't seem to bad. Yes, the wolf had been quite aggressive... but so was Koli, and even Koli had to admit that his attitude hadn't been good when he'd invaded these lands. But he was glad that it appeared to have been put behind them. He didn't like to have such matters dwell over him, but he was slightly worried that his actions today would have affected his chances to join this pack. And even if he left.. who ws to say that word of him would not spread to other packs? And leave him to walk the earth forever.
You know, you could eat that if you want. You’re probably starving.” Koli snuffed in surprise and looked down at the carcus, he had almost forgot about the food with everything that had happened. Feeling his belly grumble, he licked his lips and tore at the meat. Tarus was right, he was starving, and he wasn't going to wait any longer to fill his belly. It felt so good to feel the flesh in his teethn, and in a matter of moments it was gone.
Hearing a howl ring in the distance, Koli's head snapped up and his ears went forward as he tried to work out where the sound had come from. Shoot Turning to Traus, he whined in concern. Koli didn't care about the blood on his lips right now, he was more concerned about what was going on. "Something wrong?" Koli growled softly. I have to go Koli for obvious reasons. If you like you can come with, but I’m sure whatever has happened won’t be pretty Hearing the cold tone in Tarus' voice, Koli lept to his feet. Something was not right, that was obvious. And it seemed that Tarus would need help, even if he thought Koli wouldn't be able to handle it. "Let me come with you" Koli growled strongly. "Safety in numbers after all, and you might need my strength." He said running after Tarus, trying to keep up. Maybe this act would reedem himself and gurantee a good placement within the pack. Koli hoped so, for he didn't want to be alone any longer
