Athabasca's blue eyes scanned the mist for any signs of the femme of which Taurus had spoken. She could not trace any scent or sign of the she-wolf, or any sign of life at all. Athabasca shivered in the fog and lifted her maw to the sky. "Femme of Drarynough, show yourself. I have been directed by Taurus to meet you here." As she padded around in frustrated circles, Athabasca's thoughts returned to the darkness of her past. It had been a while since she had escaped the humans, and even longer since the Bloodspills had been destroyed... Athabasca walked solemnly over to the edge of the lake where she stood gazing out over the cloudy grey water. She wondered how deep the lake was... What was it like at the bottom? What if there really is no bottom? What would happen if I were to just.. let go... Would I sink forever? Floating in that dark abyss... Forever... A black paw slowly reached out and touched the lake's surface lightly, hovering indecisively for a few moments before dropping lower, underneath the water. Athabasca watched silently as her paw disappeared from sight, the black fur blending in with the darkness of the mysterious lake. Then with a grunt she rose to her paws and trotted off toward the woods in search for the she-wolf.
