The feel of warm sand underfoot was comforting to a rather small form. Even the gentle pitter patter of rain wasn't enough to deter her train of thought. Alya was desert creature, and upon accomplishing the swim to Anikira she had found the Sands of Rodorr to be quite to her standards. Even in the winter there was no snow to be seen, and desert rodents were her favorite sort of prey.
'I wonder...' An inhale of scents brought the faint smell of a fae. There were also a few other hints of wolves having been in the area, but the female decided they were nothing to be concerned about. They were a bit too far off and rather old smelling. Her large ears took in the sounds of the quiet desert, further confirming that she was alone. A smile formed on her maw as thought, calculating the odds that trouble would arise. 'If someone has a problem, they'll have to take it up with me.'
Turning slender snout towards the sky, Alya let out a long, high pitched, feminine howl. It was obvious she wasn't quite in the habbit of howling, but she managed to make the sound loud enough to be heard for a decent sized distance. "These desert sands shall be my home. My lands shall stretch as far as the volcano. For water I claim the Aughgar River. Those that have a problem will take it up with me. I may be small, but size matters not! From this day forth, these lands shall belong to the pack Zahir!"
Her howling ceased and she licked her maw. The action had left her throat a bit dry. She'd deal with that later though. Right now she needed to explore her new lands, making sure those scents she'd smelt really were too old to be important. She also needed to go about finding herself some decent packmates, ones that could handle her orders without much complaint. Alya knew what she was doing when it came to being an alphess. She was a perfectionist with a calculating mind, and she'd go through hell if it meant building herself a strong pack worthy to roam the warmer lands of the Western coast. Turning on her heel and trotting through the rain, she set out to do just that.
