The only sound she could hear for miles was the gentle whistling of the evening breeze. Though the sun was still high, it was ever so slowly creeping towards the western horrizon. It would be dark soon. The stars would be smiling down at earth's inhabitants, the darkness wrapping them in its cool embrace. Legacy didn't care, however. She was too wrapped up in her inner most thoughts to take much heed of the passing sun or the wind that played about with her scent, casting it in the direction of unwelcome company.
August was upon Anikira, the summer preparing to fade into fall. The birthing season was wrapping up, and as young pups grew so did the Mexican' fae's depression. Legacy yearned for nothing more than a child of her own, having given up on the idea of romance long ago. If she could not love a male, she would use one. Unfortunately, her last attempt had resulted in no children. She was unsure as to the reason why she had not conceived, but for now she would not dwell on that. It had only been her first time, after all. Next mating season she was resolved to do better.
Now if only she could find a worthy and willing partner. The girl could be quite picky at times and was nothing short of shallow. Her own pelt was a beautiful arrangement of reds and creams. She would accept nothing less for her offspring, and as such was not above picking potential mates solely on looks. Personalities were molded, not inherrited. Besides... It was much harder to charm a well intentioned brute than it was some moral-less rogue. Legacy did not want a future. All she wanted was someone to love, no strings attacted. The way she saw things, the only way to acheive such a thing was through a child.
Laying her red caped head atop her paws, a sigh fell from her maw and caught on the breeze. Sure, it wasn't really the smartest thing to be laying in the middle of Chamoru Plains, unprotected and out in the open. Legacy just didn't care though. There was a sort of romantic allure in the ability to be a sitting duck. Should her presense attract danger, it would at least take the edge from her misery. Charming her way out of a sticky situation could prove interresting, reguardless of whether it was a male or female that crossed her path. If someone did stumble upon her, however, she hoped it wouldn't be someone sweet. Legacy wasn't sure she'd be able to stomach the happy sight of a mother with child, or even a chivalrous brute wishing to look out for her best interests.
